Radioactive Radiation

A week past and I just finished installing the x- ray vision, night vision and breathing tubes to my mask. When I had to breath, I would press a button on the side of my head. It would slide down, covering my whole face and then I would breath it in. My other teammates were making breathing masks too. Then Golden Star called us up to the gym. When we arrived, there was a digital screen there showing different buildings.
"Hello, guys. Today I will be assigning you your first mission," she said, clicking a tab on the screen. It showed a man in a tuxedo, he had black hair and blue eyes with glasses. He looked like a lawyer. "This man named David Ramon Shore bought 7 buildings in each of the continent. He is the boss and scientist of the lab called Spears of the Galaxy, in England. He is a millionaire. We have our suspicions that he is creating something with the buildings. You are going to investigate it."
"Not that I have a problem with it," Yasmeen began. "But why can't you guys do it?"
"My team is the Striking team, Scarlett Red is the Defending team. And you, are the Stealth team," Golden Star answered. "You will go today. Shore is in London, you will fly there in one of our starships. After you investigate, fly back immediately."
"What if we mess up and start some alarms?" I asked.
"We installed something we call Callers into these bands. You tap it three times and it'll call us. And while we get there, you guys fend them off for a while," Golden Star said, handing out black bands. Mine had a cat on it. Yasmeen had a flame, Stephan a water drop and Jake a lightning bolt. I strapped it to my wrist. "Your starship is here."
"Who will be flying is?" Jake asked. "Who is our leader?"
"Those of those things will be decided among you," Golden Star said. "The star ship is easy to fly, it should take a few minutes to learn." She lead us to the backyard where a smaller airplane like vehicle was sitting there. She walked up the stairs. And she began teaching us how to control the ship, shoot and other steps. After that, she left us so we can go to Shore.
Stephan wanted to be pilot, so we let him. Then we began deciding who was going to be leader. They all voted on me. So I became leader. It was nighttime when we arrived in England. We landed on a big field near Spears of the Galaxy. We quickly got off the ship. I turned on my night vision. No one was here in the field.
"Move out," I whispered. We all quietly ran to the lab. The lab was huge, with a lot of security. There were guards with masks and huge guns. Not like those regular security guards. What were they doing here? They were guarding the front door, so we couldn't go there. I signaled everyone to move back. I looked around. There was a window just a few feet away. I jogged over there. No one was in the room. I turned on my x- ray vision. I could see hidden alarms in the window. I quickly used the laser knife to cut through the alarms and cut the window open. I wish I had a cable so I could hack the system and disable them. I pulled the window off. And looked inside the room. There was a security camera on my right. I pulled out my gun and shot it. Then, I quickly jumped in, careful not to make loud noise when I landed. We all jumped inside. I looked around. There was a table with a computer on it and some files. It was an office. I pulled out my laser knife so it could give me some light. I walked over to the files as I turned off my night vision. I pulled a file out and opened it. I quickly scanned. It was about the payment for the building in Asia, Africa and the other continents. I looked up. "Bolt!" I hissed. He ran over. "Scan these files." He nodded and then he became a blue blur reading and moving around as I looked through the drawers. There was other old files and keys. Jake was done looking. "All on bills and money," he stated. I looked at the door. It was locked on the inside, I unlocked it and carefully opened the door. There was a sign on the door. It said "Debbie Cane: Bill Manager". That explained all the files. The lights were turned off in the hallways, I cautiously walked out, careful not to be seen by any patrol guards. I signaled my friends to follow me. I turned on my x- ray. The hallway turned to a left. I was about to turn right when I spotted two guards. I quickly stepped back and signaled the others to be quiet. The guards turned to the hallway we were in. I jumped in front of them and kicked them each in the head before the could yell an alarm. The fell to the ground unconscious. I threw them into a nearby bathroom. Then I continued walking. I saw a security camera. I saw a blind spot and quickly led the team across the floor, out of the camera's view. I saw a door and it said "David Shore: Boss" I turned the knob, locked. I looked under the door, no light was coming out. I nodded st Jake. He used his super speed to take the door knob apart and the door creaked open. After we all stepped in, he put the knob back together. Then I signaled him to look into the files. Yasmeen, Stephan and I began looking in his closet and drawers. I found more keys in his drawer and some other files on experiments. I looked at the first one. The study of radiation? What did that mean. I looked at the next one. The study of Apple phones. What? I looked at the third one, creating radioactive objects. Even more confusing. Did these all add up?
"It's all about science experiments on producing radioactive radiation," he whispered. "I don't really get it."
"Neither do I," I murmured. I heard footsteps. I looked around frantically, there was no where to hide!! I signaled everyone to crowed next to the door. We quickly ran next to the door. Six armed men came in. As they looked around, we suck out the door. What was going on? Radioactive radiation? Apple products? Not something a scientist would study. I heard even more footsteps. I quickly ran into a room. The others followed me on. When the footsteps died away, I looked around the room. Then, suddenly, the lights shot on. And there stood David Ramon Shore. And a whole squad of guards with guns pointing at us. I stepped back. Then Shore began to clap, smiling.
"Congratulations, I never thought children could enter this building unnoticed, and after all this building's security system was made by a genius, me" he said, walking forward. His British accent rang through his words. "Who sent you?"
"You're the genius," I snapped. "So why don't you figure it out?"
He ignored me and began walking around the room. The room was huge. There were computers around some kind of big device. Shore caught me looking.
"I see that you have noticed my Radiation Killer," he said as he began tapping away on a computer. The device powered on. "You look curious. Well I'll explain. You see, this right here, is a device that conjures radioactive radiation. It will trigger all the Apple phones in the continent. And then the phones will shoot out a wave of radiation, which will kill them. It's a simple plan, but an effective one. I'm thankful that my team gave me that chip to make it stronger."
"Why? Why would you do that? These people have done nothing against you!" Stephan yelled angrily.
"I lost everything!! My family, my home!! And all I had left, was science. I experimented and did research and I finally have something to take revenge. A lot of people have Apple phones, it's a good gadget. But what they don't know is that, they could be a weapon. And before the know it, their lovely phones will kill them!! Nothing will stand in my way!!" He yelled. "Kill them!!!"
I quickly ducked as the guards began shooting us. Stephan quickly made an ice wall in front of us. Then he made a hole for me to shoot. I pulls out my gun. I leaned on the bottom of the whole. I shot one. Yasmeen burst into flames and flew over the guards, throwing fireballs at them. I tapped my cat bracelet three times as instructed. Then I got back to shooting. There were only five men left. I jumped from behind the ice wall. I ran to them as I zigzagged so it would be harder to shoot me. I punched one. I jumped on the shoulders on another and knocked out the guy behind him. Then I kicked him in the head. There was one guy left. I dodged a bullet. I did what was called a leg choke, where I curled my leg around his neck and choked him. He fell to the ground. We were all breathing hard. I turned to Shore. He smiled at me, he wasn't scared at all. Behind him, the device was whirring louder and louder.
"Five minutes, you won't be able to stop it. finally, I have achieved my goal. And it won't be ruined," he said smiling, he bent down and picked up a gun from a guard. "There's only one way to stop it, and only I know it. And I can't let you stop it," he aimed the gun at his head. He wasn't even shaking. This guy was insane!! "Good bye, children." There was a loud bang and he fell to the ground. Dead. We all stared at the body in shock. Then I quickly looked up. The device was almost activated!! And Golden Star and her teammates won't get here in time!! I looked around. I thought quickly, what if I bombed it? I looked around. This whole room was leaning on the device, if this thing comes down, then the whole building will collapse!! On us!! I looked up to see a small window.
"Guys!!" They turned to me. "Throw these bombed onto that thing and when you're done, get out of here through that window." I threw them the cat shaped bombs. We all began to throw some on swiftly. We all climbed through the window. I darted up to for a minute. The cat bomb's eyes were blinking red. Then, they stopped blinking. I immediately jumped off from the window, on to the ground out side. I sprinted across the floor, while the Spears of the Galaxy burst into flames and collapsed. We all watched from a distance.
"Mission accomplished," Jake said grinning.
Then a starship came. It landed in front of us. Golden Star stepped out.
"Well, you're late," I mumbled under my breath.
"Apologies for coming at the wrong time, someone was hacking our system, causing some delays. Are you all right?" Then she saw the lab. "What did you do?!!" She shrieked unhelpfully, we're dirty, tired and annoyed with them being late and this lady is screaming?!! What in the world? "Do you know how many lives you just distinguished? All of you-"
"Hey, Golden Star, if you don't mind me saying, but you should be thanking us," Stephan said, folding his arms.
"Yeah!! We were almost killed!! And you're complaining?!!" Yasmeen yelled.
"Lady, we all know we just killed some lives, but have of them are bad," Jake added.
"Exactly!! They were trying to kill all the human beings on earth!!" I screamed.
"This was supposed to be a simple mission, and you turned it into a messy problem, that we need to clean up. The government will be asking questions!" Golden Star stated.
"Are you sure you should be a superhero, because you'd do great as a lawyer!" Stephan said.
"It's not our fault that you assigned us this mission. It's not our fault that you guys were too slow to get here!" I agreed.
"They hacked our frequency!!" Golden Star retorted.
"We'll get a better security system," Yasmeen hollered. "This is the way we do things, if you don't like it, then deal with it." We all turned angrily around and stomped off. When we were inside the starship. The angry faces were completely wiped off. We all laughed and high- fived.
"That was so fun!! I never liked those kinds of teenagers anyway," Jake said. I laughed and sat at the controls as everyone else buckled in. I turned on the ship and we flew off into the night sky.
