Chapter 7

I woke up to see Mason laid in my bed. No we didn't have sex, after everyone left last night, he just stayed with me in my room, so I could sleep well. I still feel like shit, but hell what am I suppose to feel like after I find out my mum died.

I walked into my bathroom and get a quick shower, I get dressed into my underwear and that is when Mason wakes up, he looks around the room before his eyes set on me. I see him about to get up I held my hand out to make him stop and shook my head. I put on some black shorts and a top of Masons, I roughly put my hair up and go to brush my teeth, not really bothering about my appearance.

I go towards my door and open it, before stepping out I roughly get pulled back into Masons chest, he just holds me there and I didn't know what to do. I realized my mum is like Masons second mum, I am not the only one hurting here. I hold him tightly and I know he is crying, I woke us over to bed I lay Mason down and put his head on my lap whilst stroking his hair. I looked at the time and see it is 6:30am I don't need to set off till 7:30.

I hear his sobs start to quiet down. I slowly move from underneath him. I go downstairs and start cooking him breakfast, which consist of Bacon, Egg, French toast, Chips and Tomatoes, Then some pancakes with syrup and some coffee in the pot. After Mason cries he has a big appetite. I look at the clock to see it is now 7:29, I quickly put my shoe and coat on then grab my bag, just when Mason comes the stairs. He looks at me and I can tell he is confused.

"Where are you going?" Masons voice is raspy.

"Mase, I kind of have college, can't really afford to miss it, you know exams are coming up" I said trying to smile.

He shakes his head, I can tell he wants to shout and scream at me but he just kisses me on the head and walks into the kitchen, only to walk out again and pull me into a hug.

"It should be looking after you, not the other way round Strawberry" He calls me that cause I LOVE strawberries.

"We are best friends Mase, we look after each other" I say this whilst turning to the clock that now reads 7:35. My eyes go wide as I kiss Mason on the cheek and run out of the house.

I quickly enter the sports room, to see no one there. Meaning they are out on the field. I run to the field to see my sports class there. Mr Daniels spots me and gives me a disapproving look.

"Lauren, you are late. Quickly go get changed and you shall run laps for the remainder of the lesson" He shouted since I was still at the other end of the field.

I walked into the changing room quickly taking of my clothes and putting on my uniform. Join everyone else on the field, some smile and some wave, I try to smile back, but they can tell something is wrong as they give me confused glances.

I started to run around the field, thinking of everything that has happened. Well I got raped, Got pregnant, dad died because of me, lost my babies, mum and I started to become distance, started sleeping with Mason, met Dan, kissed him, argued with him, kissed my teacher, now Dan and I are friends,  only to have my mother die.

I didn't realise it was raining or that I was crying until Mr Daniels grabbed my shoulders to stop me from running.

"I have called your name 7 times now" I don't think he could tell that I was crying, thank god for the rain "Everyone else has gone to get changed, you should too"

I began to walk of before Mr Daniels called my name again. I turn around to see him looking up at the sky then finally back at me.

"I heard what happened yesterday. What Mason shouted out" I could see pity all across his face.
