Solána took her time down the stairs, others ran, some fell. She had a lot to do this evening, but couldn't bring herself to rush. Maybe it was because she wanted to see a certain person.
Soon it will be fall, her favorite time of the year, as of right now she basked in the warm air of late summer. Solána looked up at the blue, glowing sky thinking of her mother's eyes. Her mother is blind but her eyes always glow like she knows something you don't. Correction, they did glow.

Bryson's locker opened, he shoved his books in his junky locker and half-listened to Jacob and his other friend Tony, "I'm saying, she was all up on me fam, she was all like," Jacob rolled his body, "Oouu, Jacob you can get it anytime."
"Shut yo lying ass up she did not, say that." Tony replied, shaking his head.
"Whatever nigga, wit'cho peanut head ass." Jacob smacked the back of Tony's neck.
"OUCH NIGGA."
A few lingering students gave Tony a look.
"Would you two jiggaboos shut y'all asses up." Bryson said dryly as he slammed his locker closed. Tony and Jacob stopped playing. "Whatever, I gotta get home to my moms anyway." Tony said dapping Jacob, then Bryson.
"Bye ugly ass." Jacob yelled as Tony walked out the exit.
Bryson began walking to the exit as well, with Jacob hot on his trail. "AND anyway, what's up with you and ole' girl. You didn't say nothing when you came back to sit down." Jacob said to Bryson.
Bryson's steps became stiff, he rubbed the back of his neck. "Uh, well.. She a bitch, so ain't really nothing to say."
Jacob laughed, "I'll give you 50 dollars if you could get her to kiss you. You got until a week."
Bryson's eyes wided, and he chuckled, "Nigga no, I got 50 dollars in my pocket."
"But do you have a hunnit, in yo pocket?"
"No, but I got it home fo'sho."
"What about 150?"
"Shut up."
Jacob put his hand around Bryson's shoulder. "Think about it, broke ass." Then he walked away.
