Vic's POV
Kellin helped me out of the car and we walked through the fresh cut grass to the area where the funeral was being held in. It was in a big, white gazebo with light purple flowers hanging. It wasn't good enough for her.
I found Mama and her older sister, Mickie. Mama gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek. I could tell she was choking back tears. After Mama let go Mickie have me a long hug. She started tearing up but not full on crying. Her red and black hair was pulled up into a flat bun that looked very classy. We took our seats, me Kellin, the girls, Mama, and Mickie sitting in the front row. Mickie walked over to the casket with purple and white flowers on the end. It was open. She slipped a little piece of paper in and walked back to her seat. Then Mama walked over. When she came back Kellin grabbed my hand.
"Your gonna be fine" he whispered under his breath. He let go and I walked over to the casket. Her purple hair was curled like normal. She was wearing her favorite blue dress with black  flowers on it. Her string bracelet we made before I left for North Creek was still on her wrist. Hers was black and green. Mine was black and blue. Then I noticed the marks on her neck and started to tear up. 'I love you Nat' I whispered and walked back to my seat. A. Couple other people walked up then the service started.
Kellin's POV
He was dying. This hurt him so bad. I could tell wasn't happy with what the man who was doing the service was saying. It wasn't enough. I didn't even know her but he just skimmed over the surface of her. Almost like he didn't want to talk about her.
"Im Mike....uh...Nat was a really great gal...and..uh..she didn't deserve what happened to her. She loved flowers and..uh..purple (?) his thick  southern accent wasn't helping thing seem more memorable.
Vic started crying again. This sucked. His best friend was getting the most crappy funeral EVER. I grabbed his hand and rubbed little circles on his pointer finger.
After the shitty service Vic went over to Nat's sister, Mickie, and her mom. I stayed back. I wanted Vic to be able to say his goodbyes the right way. I walked over to the girls.
In about ten minutes He came back over. The large women who I assumed was Natalie's mom was talking to Vic still over the benches and chairs.
"Victor, Hun (SNIFF) Thanks so much for coming. You too Darlin'.  She was referring to me. I smiled and thanked her for letting me come. In a couple hours they would lower the casket. It was a close family thing though.
