Ch.2

Penelope's P.O.V

I woke up excited this morning and it was a good feeling. I honestly dreaded going to school and watched the clock the whole time just to see Harry. School went by at a medium pace and once it was over I drove my way over to work. I walked in and got my uniform on and started working at the cashier. Harry would show up in around twenty minutes and I couldn't wait.

The moment I saw him walk in my heart started to beat fast and my stomach got butterflies.

"Hey Penelope, how are you doing on this lovely Thursday?" He asks me.
"Not much Harry. Just the usual routine, what about you?" I say smiling.
"Boring but now I'm glad to see you love!" He says and I start to blush.
"I'm guessing you want the usual?" I ask with my cheeks still red.
He nodded his head and asks, "Is it alright if we can hang out tomorrow after school?" I hold my index finger up and tell him to hold on as I walk to the back to check my schedule. I was so relieved to see I was off tomorrow.
I walk back saying, "That would be great! Where do you wanna meet up?"
He looked at me deep into thought and finally said, "Erm here around 3:30 okay? I have a car so I can drive to wherever you tell me so you can show me around and we can have dinner? Sound good?"
"Yeah sounds great." I say happily. He pays for his drink and waits while I heat up his usual croissant and my co worker does his hot chocolate. I hand over his croissant and he smiles at me. Before he leaves he yells over, "I'll text you tonight, yeah?" I nod as a response and continue back to work.

Harry's P.O.V
Penelope and I texted till midnight and that's because I think she fell asleep on me. I learned a lot about her tonight and she learned a lot about me too. She told me that she went to a private school so that's why I never see her around because I go to a public school. She's a junior and I can tell she's very serious about school. While me on the other hand wants to get out of high school and go to college. I'm getting bored of high school even though I just moved to a new one.

I was happy to hear that she's a big music person for so am I. In fact I used to have a band back home called the White Eskimos but we ended the band recently. It was a good run but since I was moving and we were all going to college we called a quits.

She told me she prefers song writing than singing and she sent me a couple of small quotes from her songs and all of them sounded amazing.

Other than that it was little things that she told me about herself. She thought it was interesting that I moved so far away and how I was alright with the change, and to be honest she's making the transition so much better for me.

Penelope's P.O.V
I got to school late which rarely happens and I was a little shocked since 1.I went to bed at 12 so I got about 8 hours and 2. I slept through 6 alarms and the most I've slept through was like three.

School and my job is my number one priority. Ever since I was little it was drilled in my brain that if I wanna get a good job and nice life I have to do good in school. I don't fully agree since I wanna go in the music industry and you can have a nice life without school but I do it to make my parents proud.

Either way I know how to manage my time so on weekends I go to work and once I'm done I stay in bed and never get up unless it's to go to the bathroom or to get food.

My life is pretty boring when I think about it but I have high hopes to achieving great things in college. I wanna go somewhere new so that experience would be amazing and let alone living somewhere new. I don't mind where I live just gets boring after a while.

I was in English class annotating and stopped when my phone vibrated.

I like the indoors, my bed, my laptop, and sleep. Whenever I'm off that's all I do. I can't even remember the last time I hung out with a friend.

Well it's going to be great! Idk where you're going to show me around but it'll be fun and I'll make sure of it.

Yeah. If anything you seem the life of a party so it'll be interesting. What's your plan for dinner?

I was thinking pizza and going downtown. How does that sound?

"Penelope put that phone away immediately before I take it away!" my English teacher yells angrily. I was too zoned out that at first I had no idea she was yelling at me. I nod my head and quickly text him back.

Sounds fantastic. I gtg my teacher caught me. I'll see you later.

Oh alright. I guess I'll be lonely for a while.

I giggle at what he texts back and put my phone in my pocket and continue my work.
