Short Summary
"Dear Kassidy" by @radicallysteph is an overall beautifully written, ongoing novel portraying forgiveness, heartache, heartbreak, reconnection, and forgiveness.

Wyatt and Kassidy, both age 17, were in a thriving and compassionate relationship. They were madly in love with each other; they went to Paris, had scrapbooks of future plans, and would take a bullet for each other. But what happens when Wyatt suddenly breaks it off with Kassidy for no apparent reason?

Wyatt, ashamed of himself for hurting the person he loved most, he moved to the other side of the country to live with his dad, so he could forget about the bad things he has done; and not have to deal with seeing Kassidy and "falling in love with her all over again".

Kassidy was left to her own devices, confused, hurt, and aching for closure. why did Wyatt do this? Why did Wyatt go from proudly confessing his love to her one day and breaking up with her the next?

For the next two years, Kassidy would call Wyatt, leave him voicemails, text him, and even skype him, pleading for closure. An answer was nowhere in sight, sending the female protagonist into a downwards spiral, turning to alcohol and pain killers at the age of seventeen.

What Kassidy didn't know is that Wyatt was regretting his choice every day. When he was missing Kassidy and wanted to tell her something; he would write her letters, but never send them. he came to the realization that he too, was still madly in love with Kassidy. In an act of desperation, he booked a flight to Los Angeles with all his letters in a box. What takes place after he lands is shocking.

Positive Feedback
The first part of this book was heartbreaking, in a good way. Wyatt's emotions were portrayed extremely well. The way he talked about Kassidy made me miss someone I haven't even met, which is a rare occurrence, and the author should be quite proud of that achievement.

Also, this book is a page turner. "what's going to happen next"? was a question I was constantly asking myself as I was turning the pages. Is Kassidy going to welcome Wyatt back into her life? Or is she going to kick him to the door and start developing feelings for his best friend? There are so many plot twist possibilities, and honestly it keeps me on the edge of my seat.

If I were you, I would immediately add this book to your library.

Constructive Criticism
This book was overall a big hit, but I feel as if some of the portions where Wyatt was talking about Kassidy was a bit too drawn out, I don't know if this was to emphasize his obsession with her, but I found myself skimming through the first half of chapter two and towards the end of chapter one. The real action starts at chapter 3, which I can find no flaws within that chapter. that one was a joy to read, along with the new point of view chapter, and the most recent one published, chapter 4. If the author could do anything to spice up chapters one and two (more so chapter two, chapter one is a letter and therefore cannot really contain much action) with possibly some more dialogue between ryley and Wyatt, it would improve the story. this is just a personal preference.

Rating
overall, this book deserves a 5 star reading. It beautifully portrays heartbreak, remorse, and insecurity, and I would recommend it to a friend.
