Merlin was riding horseback along with Arthur and some of the knights. They were on a hunting trip, which Merlin despised. He hated seeing Arthur killing innocent creatures.

Suddenly, an arrow wizzed past Merlin's head and buried itself in a tree. "Bandits!" Merlin says as they come out of the trees, making a circle around the group.

"No, really?" Arthur retorts, as he parries a blow from a bandit that tried to attack him. Arthur kills him quickly by slicing his head off. He then moves for another, who was about to attack Qwain who was already in combat with another. Two then silently go to to attack Arthur. Merlin notices them and blasts them back, using his magic.

Arthur turns around, having heard a clang of metal, and completes his turn to see Merlin's eyes turn blue again. "Sorcery." He mutters, disbelieving. Not Merlin. He doesn't have magic. He is not a sorcerer. Not my Merlin. He thought. Wait. What am I thinking? He is not my Merlin. He is just Merlin. Then men attacked Arthur and he had to put his thoughts aside to battle with the bandits. I will deal with this later.

As the battle ends, the Camelotian knights winning, they all celebrate. Well, all but Arthur and Merlin. Arthur sits in his place, thinking about what he saw. Merlin just watches him.

Did he see me use magic? Merlin thinks. I really hope he didn't. If he were to turn to me in the wrong moment I guess...

"Tomorrow we leave for Camelot."Arthur suddenly says, getting up and going to his tent.

"Sire?" Merlin calls, walking into the tent to see a distressed Arthur. "Arthur? What's wrong?"

"Nothing Merlin."Arthur replies.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes Merlin. Just fine. Leave me." Arthur says, annoyed.

Merlin just nods and leaves, hurt by Arthur's actions and words. The ride back to Camelot was quiet and uneventful. It was too quiet because Merlin wasn't talking to anyone. He was normally the one to make everyone laugh and not be so quiet.

When they got back, Arthur said he had some Kingly business to attend to. Merlin took his and Arthur's horses to the stables to groom them and put them away. When he was done with that, Merlin went to his and Gaius's chambers to take a nap. When he got there, he flopped onto his bed.

Knock knock knock. Someone knocked on Merlin's door. "What is it?" Merlin asks, flipping onto his back in his bed.

"His majesty would like to speak to you in the throne room." George's annoying voice says.

"Tell him I'll be there soon." Merlin says, groaning as he got up.

"He requires you immediately." George says, almost sounding smug.

Merlin opens the door. "I know. Please leave now George." He says. George nods his head and leaves. Merlin rolls his eyes and walks to the throne room. "What do you need, sire?" He asks mockingly.

"You have been seen practicing sorcery, Merlin." Arthur says emotionlessly. Merlin's face goes paler than it already was.

"Arthur. I can explain-" He starts.

"I trusted you!" Arthur interrupts him.

"Arthur I-"

"No Merlin. Not this time. You have until sundown. Leave. If I ever see your face again, I swear I will strike you down where you stand."

"Please sir-"

"LEAVE SORCERER!"

At that, Merlin turns to go get his stuff. As he is turns, Arthur sees Merlin's eyes water. Merlin waits till he gets to his and Gaius's chambers to cry. He quickly gathers the necessities, such as his spellbook, some glass bottles to hold things in, two blankets (one to make a tent with), and bandages for if he gets himself hurt. After he got all that, he went to the gates. He looks back on Camelot with sad eyes. Gaius had been out giving some medicinal potions a the time, so Merlin left him a letter, explaining what happened.

Merlin then turned and left Camelot, for what he thinks his last time.
