~A month later~
Morgana and Arthur were happy to know that that Merlin was fine... but they haven't seen the indigo wolf again, despite him having stayed near those villages. He kept getting reports of Merlin helping people.
"You should not have left such an impression on him to scare him so badly." Morgana says, grumpy with Arthur... again. She just wanted to see her mentor again. He had helped her so much. She couldn't eat the rather lavish dinner that was in front of her, knowing that Merlin probably didn't have anything anywhere close to it.
"I know that Morgana, but at the time I was a bit upset- for good reason!" At that, Arthur got a look of pure annoyance from his step sister. "Okay, maybe not that good, but still. I was in shock!" After that line, he just takes another bite from his mashed potatoes
Morgana just sighs. "You know what? I'm done with staying in this castle. I'm going to try and find him myself." She says, standing up from the dinner table.
"What? Now?" Arthur asks, looking at the dark haired woman as she left the room. He just sighs and follows after her, catching up to her when she was already in her room. "Morgana, it's dark out. You can't go now." He says, leaning on her door frame.
Morgana was already getting a bag ready, and was grabbing things from around her room to put in it. "I can't wait any longer." She says simply as she continued to pack.
"At least take guards with you-"
"I can take care of myself. It'll be easier if I go myself." Morgana says- she also could use magic to do more than guards could.
"But Morgana-" Arthur was not allowed to finish his sentence... again.
"I won't have guards. Understand?" She says.
Arthur sighs. Once she had her mind made up... no way he was talking her out of it. "Fine." Arthur groans before going back to the dining room to finish his dinner.
It was getting harder and harder for Merlin to hide while he was hunting... Now that Arthur knew an area where he was, the guards were combing the forest.
"What are we going to do Mid? I don't want to leave, but they're getting close." The warlock says to his horse once he gets to his home. He felt bad- he could just about never take her out anymore...
The horse knickers lightly, causing Merlin's eyes to flash gold and some hay got put in front of her. "Your such a good girl..." He murmurs, petting her head softly as she leans down to eat.
After making sure that midnight was good for the night, Merlin went to his bed. That night, he had a dreamless sleep- a blessing to him.
The next morning, Merlin made a decision. He was going to have to move, so he started to get things ready to go. It would take a couple of days, and he did want to stop at that castle again. He had noticed that it hadn't been touched since Arthur saw him. He was glad, although admittedly he was suspicious.
But, there was so much knowledge, he had to go back there to get as many books as possible. Before Arthur decided to do with it what he will, preferably.
