I was laying in bed thinking was I really making the best decision? Is Ray really ready to take care of Royalty? In this process i have to look out for my baby and our feelings. Not going to sit up here and lie saying I dont miss what we had before. Im not going to let him come in our lives and think everything is all peaches and cream, my guard will be up so my baby doesnt get hurt thats all im worried about.
I went to sleep dreaming about what we used to be.
Waking up the next day my body was a little sore sleeping on the couch. Going to my room i went into the bathroom took a hot shower so my body could relax and then finished my hygiene routine before walking out in my towel towards my closet. I was looking for sonething to wear when I heard a knock at my front door.
Opening the door to see who it was and of course it was Ray always super early. "Why are you here so early?"
"Sorry i couldnt wait any longer so i stopped and got breakfast then came by." He held up the bag of food
"Well let me get dressed and ill meet you back down here." Walking away i could here mummbling and staring towards my ass.
Chuckling to myself he was the same old Ray from when we were younger. Going back to my closet I picked out some acid washed short shorts, white v-neck shirt, some white vans high tops, put my hair in a high messy bun, lil lip gloss and was done. I was walking into the living room tucking my shirt into my shorts since they were high waisted and Ray was looking into my gallary book.
"Im going to eat and then we can hit the road."
"Alright but who is the dude in this picture holding Royalty?"
"His name was Ty, that was my best friend he was there through everything."
"What happened to him?" Ray looked concerned
"Umm a week later he got into a really bad car accident coming back from Alanta. He died on the scene nothing could help him." I got quiet that was a touching subject for me he was like a big brother to me.
"Im so sorry Lyric i know that must have been hard on you." He put the book down and i just finished my breakfast in silence. After finishing i grabbed my purse and we left going straight to the mall. It was an awkward silence between us while walking in the mall, then a whole bunch of girls ran up to him asking for pictures and for him to sign their phone cases, i just kept walking. That wasnt my life style and never will be. Going into footlocker I wanted to get Royal and I matching shoes so when we take summer pictures. She been wanting some all white air forces but i wouldnt get them because she could get them dirty but oh well. Purchasing the shoes and waited by the door for Ray. He came up and apologized.
"So what do you do for an occupation? "
"I interview celebrates and people like that."
"Oh so how come not Mindless Behavior? Wait dont answer that question. " He held his head down
"So you wanted to make an agreement about seeing Royal."
"Yeah i thought it was time for me to step up my game and become a father like i was suppose to do years ago." He looked at me
