when Jack realized he had passed home plate he then began to walk to the dugout but before he entered he started to limp he looked down and noticed his ankle was misshaped he went to the coach but he fell down and yelled in agony when the coach looked behind him and noticed Jack was on the ground he picked him up put him in his car and drove him to the nearest hospital when they arrived he got him out of the car and took him into the building when they took him to his room the began to do some x-rays and by the time they were done Jack was already talking about next season when the doctor came in he said to Jack "Jack I'm sorry to tell you this but your ankle is broken and can't be re aligned
