~ Ellie ~

I hate Mondays.

Alright, quick update. The guys spent the whole weekend at my house, I haven't slept at all this weekend because I was stressed about school and Archer and stuff and when I get stressed I get nightmares and speaking of Archer, I haven't heard from him since he wandered into my house on Friday in the middle of the night.

"August! Valiant! Breakfast!" I called upstairs to the twins as I flipped some pancakes onto their plates. Not even a full second later, they came running into the kitchen arguing about something as usual.

"Alright, I have to go now because I'm running late. I didn't have time to make you lunch so here's some money to buy something in the cafeteria. I'll be home late today because I clocked in some studio time but I'll be home in time to make you dinner. I love you and I'll see you later." I explained as I kissed them goodbye and grabbed an apple on the way out along with my keys.

I opened the front door and walked out onto my driveway to get my bike. I rode to the back of the complex and unlocked the gate. Our complex is fenced in with locked gates because this isn't exactly the best neighborhood. All the poor people live here.

I walked my bike through the gate and hopped right back on in the alley. There is an alley that leads to the street behind the complex which is kind of a short cut.

"Hey, Perry!" I called to the old man who lives in the alley. He's sort of like our neighborhood hobo but he's not crazy. He's actually really nice. He smiled a half-toothy smile and waved at me.

"Hey there, Firefly!" he called back to me. That's sort of just his nickname for me. I never really understood why... weird. But I don't mind.

After I made my way through the alley, I rode out onto the road near the school when a black sports car almost hit me. I fell to the ground when I tried to swerve as they slammed on the breaks. I felt a shooting pain in my right ankle but I didn't think anything of it. The driver stayed in the car and I couldn't quite make out who it was but the passenger got out let out a loud, ear-piercing screech.

Right then and there, I knew exactly who it was. It was none other than Leanna Brooks. The school's mean girl and biggest slut.

"OH MY GOD, WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?! I TOTALLY COULD'VE JUST LIKE, DIED!!" she screamed at me as I stood up and brushed off my black ripped skinny jeans. Her facial expression changed to a sneer as she realized it was me.

"Oh, never mind. I should've just let him hit you." she said with an sickly-sweet smile. I just rolled my eyes and I was about to walk away when I realized who the driver was.

Archer.

He had gotten out of the car and was now just staring at me with a smirk.

"Come on, Leanna. We don't wanna waste our time." he said as he grabbed her hand and helped her back into the car. My jaw almost dropped. I can't believe I was about to try and give him another chance. I'm such an idiot. He walked around to the driver's side of the car, hopped in and sped away without even a second glance.

I waited until they were out of sight before I started walking because I wasn't about to let them see my pain. I hobbled over to my bike and slowly got on. I let out a small cry in pain as I adjusted myself on the seat. I pedaled with my good foot and rested the other one on the metal bar that connected the handle bars and the wheel to the seat.

I soon arrived at school since I used the forest path (another shortcut) and slowly got off my bike, locked it up and hobbled to class. The injury is minor, I can probably walk it off.

......................................................................................................

This is not just a minor injury. I had to cancel my studio time today because there is no way I can dance on this ankle. I can barely even walk on it, never mind dance. The school day was hell. It just hurts so much.

School just ended and I was now putting my bike away in the garage. I walked into the house and I noticed all the lights were off which was really weird since I always had at least one light on.

"AAAAAHHH!!!" I heard a loud battle cry and suddenly the lights came on and I was being tackled to the ground.

"AAAAHHH!!!" I let out a high-pitched scream as I flipped the person over and put my hands around their neck, fully prepared to strangle them. Then I realized it was Valiant.

"E-Ellie..." he choked out. I was so caught up in being attacked that it took me a minute to snap out of it.

"Oh my god!" I quickly let go and helped him up. He looked at me as if he didn't even recognize me. It was the most heartbreaking thing I'd ever seen. Before I could say anything, he ran upstairs and locked himself in his room.

I turned to August who was standing nearby and he looked shocked.

"We didn't expect you home until later so we thought you were a burglar..." August trailed off.

"I am so sorry. You guys scared me, I was acting on reflex to an attacker. Okay? Listen to me, I would never ever hurt either of you. Not even for all the money in the world and I sure as hell would never let anyone else hurt you either. Understand? I love you guys so much and I don't know what I'd do without you. Just please don't sneak up on me like that. I thought you were someone else..." I also trailed off in thought.

"Who?" he asked.

"Nobody important. I promise I will never hurt you guys. Okay? You're safe with me. Always." I explained. August's face softened as he nodded. I nodded back and pulled him into a tight hug.

"We love you too, Ellie." he whispered into my hair.

"Okay. Now go upstairs and watch some tv. I'll make dinner in a couple of hours." I said as I kissed the top of his head. He nodded and went upstairs to watch tv with Valiant... Oh, Val. I hope you forgive me.

I made my way up the stairs as best as I could with my ankle, backpack in hand, fully prepared to deal with the boy nextdoor... And then I actually saw him, calmly laying on his bed like nothing ever happened. Ugh! He is such a fudge muffin. I hate him! I can't believe I was ever even going to give that soul-sucking son of a barnacle a chance.

I marched over to my desk and threw my stuff down in a huff. Then I walked over to the speaker dock and plugged my phone in. I quickly scrolled through all my music until I found the Quiet Riot section of it all. I clicked the play button and turned it up to full volume.

At this point I was too consumed with anger that my ankle didn't even matter anymore.

I started pacing around my room with my notepad, writing down my thoughts. I do this when I'm angry because it makes good poetry later. Anyway, my pacing seemed to catch the idiot's attention. Well, isn't that just peachy!

He opened his window and motioned for me to do the same. I just gave him an are-you-ducking-kidding-me look and the jack wagon had the nerve to look confused.

I calmly walked over to my window, put my right hand up and flipped him off with a big fat smirk on my face. Then I proceeded to close the curtains as fast as I could so I could go back to my writing and pacing.

TAKE THAT BROTHER TRUCKER!!!

And it worked too... For about 0.2 seconds. The dingus decided that it would be a good idea to call me a couple hundred thousand times. Which was easy to ignore since I just turned my ringer off.

So then he started texting me and throwing things at my window. Eventually I was so fed up that I came up with a brilliant thing to answer him with. The best comeback for butt munches like him.

I sent him one single text that said:

I cannot formulate an expression using tangible words from any language that would even begin to express just how much you piss me off.

Once I proofread it and I was happy with it, I hit send and turned off my phone.

With that, I flipped down on my bed and eventually fell asleep because there's not much else I can do when I'm crippled.
