Me and my friend Sydney were walking home from a long day of school. The streets weren't as busy as it usually are at the hour. Sydney and I had a lot in common. We both love school. Language Arts was my best class. Maybe because I loved reading so much. I always was dreaming about another place far away from here. Where there was peace and beauty. But there was also danger and adventure.
I always made up charters in my head. Who lived in this land of mine. Creators like no other. Ones with funny looking hats, and others with long ears and fur everywhere. The ruler was a handsome man with a red mask named Sir Ace. He hides his face in shame for what he did so long ago. But the people for gave him and they made him there ruler. He has black hair and wears a red cape. His mask is red with gold outlining the edges. He never loves, for that one day a tragic miss hap will happen. He loved once, but that was a long time ago.
There was another land in my head too called the Black Forest. Where men with black masks road in the night on there black and white horses. Where all the adventure was and magic. The ruler name was Robbin. He has curly, brow hair that blocks his eyes. He wears all black with a red scarf and a sword hanging from his side. He was evil, yes. But had a kind heart. It was never his fault to be evil but is his fathers.
I told Sydney about the lands I made up in my head. She said that it was ridiculous. She said I needed to grow up and stop acting so childish. Maybe she was right. I mean we are in high school after all. But something inside of me wouldn't let go of this characters. The men with the black masks, the funny looking creators, the rulers of the lands. I just loved it too much. I wanted to go on adventure and be a hero. But sadly this is the real world, and I had to except it.
We arrived at my house and I said goodbye to my friend. I walked inside and threw my book bag down and ran upstairs. I plopped down on my bed and took a deep breath. I signed and walked over to my desk. There was a mirror just above it. I looked at me inside the mirror. My long brown hair was as long as my wast. I wore a light red shirt with jeans and my black five star shoes. I was still looking in the mirror, my window just across from it. I could see that it was getting dark.
But there was that felling again. That felling that you think that your not the only person in the room. I looked closer in the mirror and felt like someone was staring right at me. I shivered as the hairs on my neck stood up. I felt like fog was pulling straight in my room. My heart started beating harder. As I looked up from the mirror I saw a face. Not just any face. But a Mask!
(okay I'm going to stop it right there. I hope you liked my first chapter! If you do please like or comment! I will probably post the next chapter tomorrow so stay tuned!)
