Chapter One: Here We Go!
A light peered through the window; a man tossed in his bed, yet another restless night. He lifted himself up, and looked in the mirror. “Another long day”, he thought to himself as he walked to the restroom of his home, it was a modest home, only about 14,000 square feet. It had many rooms and several bathrooms. He grabbed a black, fine toothed comb and drew it through his dark brown, wavy hair. He signed lightly, his hazel eyes, half closed a bit as they were adjusting to the light. He got dressed in his usual attire, a suit and tie, and commuted to work. He was a professor at the university he used to attend, a young professor, and world-renowned for his advances in biotechnology. He parked in his usual spot; his vehicle, a red, moderately sized car. He took a deep breath and stretched over the side of the seat as he does every morning. He got out, closed and locked the door, and walked outside of the parking garage towards his office. He was yawning a bit, when he met a girl, about half his height, with light blue-framed glasses. “Hey!” she exclaimed in a cheerful voice, her blue-greenish eyes glimmering in the sunlight “Get some sleep, Doc?” “Yeah, not all that much though, had a very odd dream” he said reluctantly. “It was of her again, wasn’t it?” the girl looked to the side slightly, her cheery expression faded, her aqua blue hair in a ponytail.
“I’m not sure actually, it’s very blurry and I’m not sure what to make of it”, “Well, best not to think about it, you have more important things to worry about” she said, “Like what?” “Ms. Drunk-all-the-time isn’t drunk today, and we know when she’s sober, there’s gotta be something wrong”. “Oh boy, a great day to start a Monday”, Doc said, a name he was commonly called by the girl other than by his real name. “You’re tellin’ me… Ms. I-Gotta-Bigger-Chest-Than-You, jumped on my bed this morning to wake me up, that’s why I’m here earlier than usual”, she doesn’t usually like using real names; she’s always been this way, since the day he activated her. She is one of the many androids he has built, all with distinct traits, physical (such as her aqua blue hair) and different, sometimes (in her case) flamboyant personalities. Just as she turned her head, she was tackled by a girl with short, green hair, nose to nose with her with a smirk “Hi there, flat chest!” “Shut up!” the blue haired girl said as she pushed her off. They both stood up, the green haired girl was wearing a leather jacket and jeans, the blue haired girl wearing a blue shirt and green shorts. “Heya, Doc, how are ya today?”, the green haired girl asked Doc, his eyebrow raised in reaction to the unusual encounter, although such encounters were a common thing, especially by these two. “Oh, I’m fine, just lost a bit of sleep is all”, “He had that dream about that girl again”, the blue haired girl added. “Oh great”, the green haired girl said sarcastically.
Suddenly, screams rang throughout the campus, the three turned, alarmed. Doc's eyes widened and his heart raced, “No, not you...” he was frozen with disbelief. A girl with auburn hair and emerald eyes was glaring at him from a distance; her veins and eyes began to glow green as the two made eye contact. “We meet again”, before the Doc said a word, the girl dashed at a breakneck speed and with bone-shattering force, landed an uppercut to his abdomen, sending him flying into his office building over 50 meters away. “You bastard!!!” she screamed in a rage and almost deep sadness. “Who the f*** are you?!” the blue haired girl yelled, her eyes glowing blue, she threw a punch at the attacker's face, it landed with a loud clap, sending her flying across the pavement and into the grass in the center of campus, where students gathered around in awe of the spectacle. The girl stood up, and wiped the blood from her lips with her tongue with a smirk, “Just an old friend”.
