I stood waiting, looking out the window to see if my friend was going to come pick me up to go somewhere I had never been before. Time past and I got bored of waiting inside so, I went out into the front yard. The sky had began to turn darker and I was getting more and more anxious to go. I ran inside(because I didn't have a phone... I know) and looked at the time, noticing that it was way past the time my friend had promised to pick me up. After what seemed like forever, I got a phone call from my friend on the home phone, saying that she couldn't pick me up. So, I never went. But, I still have been looking for opportunities to go.
Lesson: Don't get your hopes up.
