One day my school had a talent show. I really wanted to sing in it. I had chosen to sing "All American Girl" by Carrie Underwood. My mom told me i should do a different song because it was out of my range, but i did it anyway.
When I got on stage i felt panic rush through me. I started the song off, and i was doing quite well until, it happened. On the last verse i had messed up, i had kind of squeaked. I finished the song totally embarrassed. Later on, i found that people where impressed by my singing. Some people didn't even notice the little squeak. I was so relieved.
Lesson: Sing songs that are in your range when performing to a large group.
