"ARGH!" I shout and slap my hand on the stupid alarm clock. I squint and read the neon green letters on the clock, even though I already know it says 5:30 AM like always. I sigh and sink back into bed for the last moment of peace before I'd have to get my lazy but out of bed to get ready.

"C'MON!" I shout grumpily and toss the thing at the wall oposite my bed, I gulp and crawl over, looking over the edge of my bed.
"Sorry alarm clock." I say to it, a tear escaping my eye. I damaged the poor thing for doing its job! I start sobbing and a knock at my door sounds, Nate stands there, brown hair and blue eyes same as ever.
"What are you crying about?" he says in a bored tone,
"I-I-I hurt the poor alarm clock" I whimper/stutter. He sighs,
"I'll bring it to the doctor and get it fixed, kay?" he says, I nod and give him a small smile and he brings the remains of the alarm clock out of the room.
It was going to get better!
Of course, Nate was 3 years younger than me, but it always seemed the other way around to people.
I sigh, I drag myself out of the old warn twin bed that I've been sleeping in for years. When mom wanted to get rid of the bunk bed I set my foot down, making her move it into my room, so now I have it. I look down at my white nightgown, I smile, simple.
I walk into the bathroom, turning on the hot water then strip. I get into the shower and hurry to wash as fast as I can, not wanting to spend to much time un-clothed.
I step out, smelling like yummy strawberrys, a pang of guilt washes through me when I think of the poor strawberries that were harmed to make my body wash and shampoo. I slip on my robe and walk into my room, slipping on my undies and my cloth bra. I slide on a pair of jeans and fancy tank top then slip on socks and my New Balance sneakers. I brush my hair quickly and put it up in a pony tail, I smile at my reflection.
I grab my old warn my little pony backpack that I've been using for years from the table and head down the stairs, I grab a cereal bar of the counter and eat it slowly, savoring each bite as if it were my last. I look at the clock and perk up, I have two minutes. I skip out to the bus and give the kind old man a smile with he opens the door, "Good morning Mr. Henson!" I say with a smile,
"Morning Jessie." he says and I walk to the back of the bus to sit in my same seat.
"Ello!" I say with a big smile to the guy next to me. He had his dark crow feather hair in spikes on his head and knowing golden eyes, he wears baggy pants with chains on them and a golden tank top.
"Leave me alone." he says to me darkly and looks away, my eyes start to water and tears start to pour out.
"August, look what you did to the poor lassie!" Eddie, a good looking boy with storm gray cloud eyes and brown hair that looked like a yummy chocolate bar, and did you notice he's scottish?
August turns and looks at me, "Shh, dont cry... You dont need to cry, I'm sorry!" he says in a tone he would talk to an innocent child with. I sniffle and wipe away a couple of my tears.
"I'm sorry if I came across mean, I just didnt know if you were going to be one of those girls that pick on me." he explains, his eyes glistening with worry.
"Its okay." I say in a small voice, trying to pull myself back together.
"You look pretty today Jessie." Eddie says with a kind smile,
"Thank you Eddie! But you shouldnt be the one talking." I say kindly, kissing his cheek.
He smiles at me and the bus pulls to a stop in front of the school. "Well I gotta get going, if you need me to protect you from August just come calling." he says teasingly and walks away with a grin.
I silently walk to my locker, carefully placing my back inside.
"Jessie!" a shout comes from behind me, a girl with blonde hair in pigtails wearing a cheerleading uniform greets.
"Hey Penny! How are you?" I greet with a smile.
"Great! How is little miss cowgirl?" she says with a smile.
"I'm okay, had an episode on the bus but I'm fine." I say
She smiles and the bell rings, she says something about heading to class that I dont quite catch over the hustle in the hallways. I walk to class ans sit down in my seat, the teacher talks about stuff while I write down notes, he is walking down one of the isles when he stops at Penny's desk, "What do we have here?" he says, picking up a piece of paper and reading allowed,
"Jessies such an idiot, do you think she may be retarded."
"I dont know, maybe she is just a young soul?"
"No, I think she's retarded, I mean, she even told me she had an episode on the bus! I when I asked around why it was because that fag told her not to talk to him!"
The teacher stops, I pick up my things and dash out of the classroom.
So thats what they thought of me? They thought I was retarded? A young soul?
I cry on my way to the locker, I open it and gently pull out my back pack, cramming my stuff in it and running out of the school. Skittles, I took the bus here.
I check my pockets, my phone was at home charging. SKITTLES! I sigh and start my long treck home, hoping I could get there without being abducted.
