Another a year in the country side of Scotland, the cool breeze of winter finally coming around as did Quidditch. Oliver had been invited to the start of year Quidditch party that was coming up in a few days where the teams got together and hung out freely in one of the common rooms and this year it was Hufflepuffs turn.

His fingers drummed against his leg nervously as he finally came to a conclusion on what to do.

Today was the day.

Today he was going to ask out the girl of his dreams.

Lilliana Weasley.

Every time he went to talk to her someone would come steal her away.
Claire Donovan from Slytherin who was one of her close friends despite there houses prejudice towards each other. Caroline her best friend or her brothers would be hanging around and Oliver did not want to be tormented for the rest of his years by the Weasley twins If she said no around them.

He had tried at least five times to approach her but it was easier said then done. He felt like a lunatic watching her from afar and trying to figure out what to say to her.
What would he say? Everything he tried to say sounded stupid or he stuttered.

Here was his chance, Lilliana was laughing with Caroline before she patted the blondes shoulder and pointed towards the library. He saw the Weasley girl head off, pulling her satchel over her shoulder as she did so.

The Gryffindor boy said a quick goodbye to Lee, Who he was rudely not listening too, and quickly followed her down the corridor.

Oliver almost reached her shoulder of her Hogwarts uniform when Damien Young from Hufflepuff came around the corner smiling instantly at the sight of the ginger.
Oliver Wood thought Damien was the most arrogant fifth year idiot he had met at Quidditch. Always gloating about his skills, when he really had none. Oliver was sure he would keep the quaffle away with his eyes blindfolded if Damien was playing.

"Hello Lilliana-"

His eyes soon settled behind her to see awkward Oliver wood shuffling an awkward grin spread across his lips as he made eye contact with the older boy "and Oliver?" Damien shook his head at the boy and paid attention to the pretty girl in front of him.
