DEPARTURE

Sixteen years ago was the time they met,
Eventhough he's not here, she'll never forget.

When she last saw him, it was already late,
And maybe to lose him was written in fate.

Everything dismissed in just a blink,
She was left shattered in a single glimpse.

To her mistakes, he was the correction,
He always wanted to see her progression.

Now the other side of the room is empty,
She misses how he cared for her gently.

His body was burnt and his soul was free,
She never felt pain to this degree.

Her heart is full of purity in every way,
Yet it cries at the end of the day.

She tells me about being his counterpart,
To see her in pain, tears me apart.

She wished it to be the nightmare,
After she wakes up, which would disappear.

They promised to be together with each other,
But no one is immortal and nothing lasts forever.

He taught her to be stronger than the Sun's rays,
"I'll make my dad proud." She solemnly says.

A/N
well this poem is dedicated to my very close friend who lost her dad 3 days ago. Its just so sad to see your friend in trouble and all you can do is nothing about it. No man is immortal and we all have to leave this beautiful earth someday. Its being so difficult for her to overcome with this unprecedented loss.
Well, all we can do is to pray for his soul to rest in peace in heaven.
