My Best Friend Doesn't Say a Word

Chapter 1

Hey guys this is my Chapter one of my first part of my story, I know it's short but just enjoy! :)

"Darling, have you got your bags packed. We are leaving in about two minutes"

"Yes mom, I will bring them down" Called Maisy

"Alright"

Maisy grabbed her slightly oversized purple suitcase and excitedly rushed down the stairs; while the suitcase rumbled down, she watched her mom smile and reach to open the door and get in the car. Maisy lifted her suitcase out of the door and slammed the door behind her. She snatched the car door open and slid the suitcase on the chair next to her, while dumping herself on the seat and placing her seatbelt on; closing the car door.

"Are you ready to go, make sure you have not forgot anything"

"Yes I'm pretty sure I have got everything" Maisy quickly checked in her pocket of her pink jodhpurs that she had her phone "yep I have everything I need"

"Alright then let's get going" As the car engine turned on, Maisy stared out of the frosty window, smiling at her thoughts. Oh I really can't wait to arrive at Red Mist Stables, It's going to be great Thought Maisy. She started to draw on the frosty windows; making a horse.

"Oh Maisy please don't do that, it will make marks on my nice clean windows"

Maisy shrugged "OK" She sighed and watched out the window again. "Are we nearly here mum?"

"Yes Yes, we are about to arrive"

Maisy made a big smile and could feel the rush of excitement going through her body. As the car arrives through the big gold gates; Maisy watched the horses grazing in the huge fields.

"Mum, it's beautiful here!"

"I know darling"

As soon as they arrived at the barn; Maisy rapidly undid her seatbelt and pushed the door open, clinging on her huge suitcase. She pulled herself out of the car, with her suitcase dragging behind her.

"Have fun sweetie"

"Mum, aren't you coming with me?"

"You know I need to get to work darling"

"Oh yeah, Love you and see you soon!"

"Love you too sweetie, bye"

Maisy shut the car door, just as her Mum drove away. She kind of felt upset to leave her mum, but however she was too excited to be unhappy. Maisy strolled towards the huge brown barn, glancing at all the stalls. "Wow, it's so big here and so many adorable horses" she said to herself. Maisy noticed two girls waddling up to her, smiling. Maisy smiled back.

"Hello there" Spoke one of the girls

"Hey" Maisy replied

"You're the new girl right?"

"Yes, I sure am" chuckled Maisy

"Cool, my name is Abby and this is Lucy" she said pointing to the tall girl next to her.

"Nice to meet you, Abby and Lucy, my name is Maisy"

"Nice name!" Smiled Lucy

"Thanks"

"We got told by Cameron to show you the horse you will be riding and by the way, Cameron is the stable boy" said Abby

"Alright, cool"

"Follow us" Abby and Lucy walked into the barn, Maisy followed. The two girls stood at a stall with a lovely dark bay gelding with beautiful white socks and a star marking on his forehead. "This your horse for now" spoke Lucy "He is just beautiful isn't he"

"Wow, he is lovely" Maisy stroked the large horse down the muzzle and smiled "What's his name?"

"Oh, his name is Billy; he is one of the newest horses here"

"He is just perfect"
