"Woh," we both said.

In front of me stood one of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen. Her dirty blonde hair cascaded down her shoulders framing her face perfectly. I watched as those brown eyes danced across my figure, just like mine were doing to hers. Unlike most girls at this school, she wasn't wearing make-up. No that she needed it, though. No, I could stare at that face all day without that awful face paint getting in the way. She looked...perfect.

"Uhm, I must have the wrong room," she mumbled, walking back to the door. She checked the number then glanced back at me skeptically. "Or you do..."

"Oh, uh, no! I mean, sometimes there are co-ed rooms. In the sixth grade I shared a room with this pretty awesome girl named Kat," I rambled. She nodded her head, throwing her bags onto her bed. She started unpacking, stealing glances at me. After about five minutes she turned around.

"Look, not that I'm not enjoying the view or anything, but you being shirtless is kind of distracting," she said.

"Oh! Right! Silly me forgot to put my shirt on again," I scolded, putting on my batman shirt. She laughed before turning her attention back to unpacking. Terrific, she probably thinks I'm some weirdo. Well, this IS the school for the "troubled".

"So what are you in for?" I asked, laying back on my twin bed.

"What do you mean?" she asked, trying to discreetly move her bras to the closet without me seeing. Obviously, it didn't work out to well.

"Uhm, you know, you only go to school here if you're 'troubled'," I joked. She sighed.

"Don't worry, I won't try and strangle you in your sleep or steal your stuff," she joked back.

"Why thank you, madaam," I said. She just smiled and continued what she was doing. An uncomfortable silence filled the air.

"So what are your classes?" I asked. She handed me a sheet of paper before doing her thing. Biology, Latin, English 1, Gym, Algebra Honors, World Civics. I placed the paper back on her bed before laying back down.

"Cool. We have first period together. Plus, you have second and sixth period with my brother," I said. Her eyes lit up.

"You have a brother?" she asked. Okay, ouch?

"Yeah, he's my younger brother," I said proudly.

"Only by like thirty minutes. You know what they say, first the worst," his voice came form the doorway. I glanced over and saw him leaning again the frame. Desi laughed at his teasing.

"Hey, where's Kat?" I questioned. His usually messy hair was messier than usual, which probably meant he lost their little wrestling match.

"She's on the third floor dropping her stuff off. I'm on the third, too, so I can't stay long. I just came because she wanted to have lunch with you later," he said looking extremely bored.

"Okay, sounds cool. If you see her can you tell her I'll be there?" I asked. He nodded curtly. His eyes drifted to the girl and he broke into a smile.

"Why didn't you introduce me to your roommate, idiot?" he asked.

"He didn't even introduce himself, let alone you. I'm Desi, by the way," she said, her hand outstretched for him to shake. But he didn't shake it. No, he decided to high five it. She looked at her hand as if she was wondering the meaning of life. Her face was priceless. I tried not to laugh but it came out more as a strangled cough.

"Well, Desi, I'm Zach and this is my idiot brother, but most people call him Cody," he said, bowing in front of her. She began laughing and I took this as the time to throw a pillow straight at his head. At the last second he dodged it. I threw another one but he dodged it again, but this time it hit a lamp. "That would be my cue to leave. Nice meeting you!"
