"Desi! Wake-up! Come on!" a voice cooed. I felt a hand wrap around my shoulder and begin to shake me.

"But I'm comfy," I said, snuggling into the blankets. They may be grey and depressing, but they feel like clouds.

"You don't want to be late for your first day of school, now, do you?" the voice said again. I just nodded my head, trying to go back to sleep.

"Nope, come on. I'll help you get up," the voice said. Suddenly, I felt the cold morning air encompass my body. The heat was replaced though by a pair of warm arms wrapping around me. I cuddled in the person's chest and just fell back to sleep. "You're extremely light."

"I like pizza," I replied groggily. The voice chuckled, vibrating my head which was on their chest. It felt like I was on a boat, swaying with the waves.

"You're not going to like me for this," the voice said. I just kept enjoying my boat. That is, until the boat tipped and I was dunked in the ice cold ocean. I let out a shriek and tried to wipe the cold water out of my face. I looked up and saw my roommate, staring at me with those wide adorable eyes.

"What was that for?!" I asked, letting the cold shower pelt down on me as I tried to stand up.

"You wouldn't wake up," he shrugged. He looked like he had just woke up too, because he wasn't wearing a shirt again. I glared at him evilly before taking his arm and dragging him into the shower. I pinned his slippery body against the wall, making sure the cold water covers him head to toe. The shower head was aimed directly at his face, making it impossible for him to open his eyes.

"Okay! Okay! I'm sorry!" he sputtered. Satisfied, I let go and made my way back to the room. I locked it after I got in. The last thing I need is a drenched Cody to come in and see me naked. I replaced my wet pajamas with a pair of black skinnies and a Mew t-shirt I got from Hot Topic. This school needs color, so I guess I'll just have to wear it. I took a towel through my hair before I checked the mirror. Satisfied, I slipped on a pair of converse and grabbed my books. I opened the door to a shivering Cody.

"Finally! It took you long enough!" he said, pushing past me and wrapping a towel around his half naked body.

"Next time, don't wake me up at 5:30 in the morning by throwing me into a cold shower," I called back before making my way to the stairs.

"Hey! Desi!" I heard a voice call. I looked below and saw Zach waving at me. His arms flexing. Don't get me wrong, he's good looking and all, I'm just getting this feeling that he's off limits, you know? It might've been Cody's reaction when I asked about him.

"Hey, wasup?" I asked, jogging down to where he stood, We began walking tot he first floor.

"Just meeting up with Kat and her friend for breakfast, you in?" he asked.

"Eh, I don't eat breakfast," I said, shrugging. He just smiled.

"Sure thing, come on," he said. As we made our way to the cafeteria I saw the little red head from yesterday sitting next to a brunette fully invested in the book.

"Hey," he said, sitting next to Kat. I sat next to the brunette across from them.

"Hi," she said, chewing her toast half heartedly.

"Are you okay?" I asked. She looked sad. She just nodded, her little curls bouncing up and down.

"She's not a morning person much," Zach replied, munching on a bowl of Cheerios.

"I would probably be more awake if you hadn't been- Ouch!" she yelled, her eyes getting wide. She scowled at Zach and he just giggled. "That tickled," she grumbled, chewing angrily on her toast.

"ANYWAYS, this little bookworm is Alex. ALex, Desi, Desi, Alex," Zach introduced. She looked up startled, as if just noticing I was there. I smiled awkwardly.

"Uhm, hi," I waved. She gave me a sad look, reluctantly closing the book.

"Sorry. I get a bit, eh, INVESTED in books sometimes. It's a problem. Why I'm here actually," she said, smiling up at me.

"The correct term in Bibliophrenia," Kat said, leaning her head on Zach's bicep. Her head would wobble whenever he spooned his cereal, making her giggle.

"Morning, campers."

"Hey Cody. What took you so long?" Zach asked as Kat kept giggling. I wonder if she's high...

"Just took a long shower. Plus, Desi took forever, if you know what I mean," he said, pulling on his shirt.

"We don't want to hear about your guys's clothes encounters," Alex said, rolling her eyes. She and Kat fist bumped, laughing to themselves. Cody just rolled his eyes, sitting next to me, He started drinking a glass of what looked like orange juice but made a face. At least we know you brushed your teeth.

"Class wil start in ten minutes. Please, make your way to your classrooms immediately," a voice said from I'm not sure where.

"Can you walk me to class?" Kat asked, tugging on Zach's blue button up. Unlike yesterday, she wasn't wearing a dress. Though, she was wearing a floral top again. She pulled it off, though. She had on a pair of jean shorts that I didn't know we were aloud to wear at that length.

"Sure thing. See you guys later!" he called as they trotted off together. He was practically dragging her out of the cafeteria.

"She really is NOT a morning person, is she?" I asked out loud.

"Nah. When she was roomy in sixth grade, I always had to hit her in the face with a pillow to wake her up. She was really snappy in the morning too," Cody said, scrunching up his nose. I poked the little scrunches with my forefinger making him look at me wide eyed.

"That's not a good look for you," I said.

"Five minutes until class starts. Please report to your classrooms immediately," the voice ordered. I didn't even notice we were the last ones in the cafeteria.

"I guess we should get going," he said. I lowered my hand from his face as he stood up. He offered his hand and surprisingly, I took it.
