When both of their hands touched it, the scene suddenly changed. Instead of a broken room filled with broken robots and a giant Doom, they were in the middle of landless landscape, facing a galaxy. "What just happened?" Hulk spoke clearly, and was taken back when he realized he had done so out loud.
Bruce looked around as well when he realized they were standing on a floating platform in the middle of space. "Did... did we get transported some where?"
"Yes, my saviours, you did." The female voice from before spoke, and a young girl, around 15 years old, walked towards them. She had on a dress, which shone like the stars around them, and her hair was as brown as freshly turned earth. Her complexion was flawless, skin as pale as an egg shell, and her eyes were as deep as space itself. "Do not worry about your friends, they will be alright."
Bruce looked over at the girl, who must of been the one possessed in the Tesseract. "What about all of those who have fallen? What about the ones facing Doom? Or Tony? In fact, where are we?" he asked her sternly.
"We are where the Tesseract was born as I see it, centuries ago. And I knew you two would come together to save me. I watched people die, people live, the fallen rise and the risen fall." The girl explained.
Hulk grunted. "Sounds like you have seen a lot."
"Yes, and I have grown tired of people using me, treating me like an object. And your love is the only way I can truly be freed."
"My love?" Bruce asked the girl, gesturing to himself.
"Your love for Tony, and Tony's love for you." She explained.
"And what about me? Am I just nothing?" Hulk asked.
"You are a part of the love, dear Hulk. All three of you have a deep connection that has been seen eons before you were even born." The girl replied calmly.
Bruce looks down at the cube in his hand, which lost it's blue glow and then back at her. "We were destined to be with Tony since the beginning of time?"
"Yes you have." She smiled.
"And here I thought I was a mistake." Hulk huffed.
The female tesseract looked over at the Hulk shocked. "No one is a mistake, none."
Bruce didn't say a thing or even a remark that he did made a mistake in letting Doom kill everyone, heroes, villains, innocet lives. He turned away from the girl and the Hulk and glared off at the distant of space.
"Bruce." She walked up to him, putting a gentle hand on his shoulder. "You carry so much pain, so many burdens, yet there is no need."
"What are you talking about?" She looked over at the Hulk, and winked.
"If I were you, I would jump backwards." And without another word, they were back in the room. Hulk grabbed Bruce and flung them both back, dodging Doom as he fell face forward onto the ground. He shrunk in size until he was normal.
"Bruce! Hulk! Are you two okay?" Tony landed in front of them, helmet coming off again.
Bruce coughed a little as he tried open his eyes. He was back in the main room, looking up at Tony and the ceiling. He felt the cube still in his hand.
"Brucie, you okay?" Tony pulled him up, while the Hulk just sat up, rubbing his own eyes. One of his hands were also on the cube. Tony moved to take it, and when his hand was placed on it, it started to glow a rainbow of colours, and floated out of their grasp.
Bruce removed his hand from the tesseract as he watched it float up and glow brighter than ever.
It grew bright, so bright you couldn't see the shape anymore. When it dimmed down, the girl was floating to the ground, toes touching the cold ground. "Oh, how I've longed to feel, it's beautiful!" She spun a bit, smiling widely.
