Precious Memory

I woked up on time, to go to school.

I got dressed in my uniform and headed to the kitchen.

"What are you making for breakfast today, grandpa? "I asked grandpa as I walked toward the refrigerator.

"I'm making oat meal. Why? Do you want me to make you anything?"

I took out milk from the refrigerator.

"No, I was just asking"

Grandpa prepared the table, so I helped him out.

As we sat down I started eating fast.

"Keita, what time does your school start?" Grandpa asked after a few minutes.

"8:00 am. Why?" I was confused

"I think your late, it's 7:46" Grandpa said.

"WHAT" I start eating fast and took my bag and ran out the house.

It takes me 30 minutes or more to get from home to school but I hope I don't end up late because I don't want to end up cleaning the classroom after school.

I was running so fast. I even passed the cars. The kids in the school bus was cheering me like I was superman or I guess superwoman. Anyway, at no time i arrived at 8:00, it was a miracle. I was so happy.

I entered the class and went to my seat. I looked at Akiyama-san and thought he would say hi but he acted like he didn't't know me. I got so ANGRY.

So I turned around so I could say hi to Hikaru-san. But she looked sad. I got so worried. I wanted to know what happened.

I whispered. "Hikaru-san, Hikaru-san" she didn't answer.

"Earth to Hikaru-san" I whispered but she still didn't answer.

"Kieta-san, what do you think your doing talking during class" Satoshi-sensei said in an angry tone.

"Sorry" I felt embarrassed.

Hikaru-san finally turned around. But she was LATE. Now you turned around I said to myself.

The bell ringed. It was lunch time. I went toward Hikaru-san.

"What happened,  you look sad are you sick or something?" I asked

"Oh NOO it's just.." she lied

Before she continues I told her "Hikaru-san tell me the truth. You don't have to be scared if you dont want to tell me, it's okay but I promise I would help you. Trust me".

"Kieta-san" she yelled my name and started crying out loud.

I was scared everyone in the classroom looked at us. Even Akiyama-san. I didn't know what to do.

"What's going on?"Satoshi-sensei yelled.

"Um... Hikaru-san is not feeling well so i would take her to the nurse" I was nervous.

Satoshi-sensei nodded and we both went to the nurse.

Actually we didn't even go to the nurse we just went to the bathroom so we could talk.

Me and Hikaru-san were walking toward the bathroom.

"Tell me everything. what happened?" I was worried. "First wipe your tears" I said

She wiped her tears and looked at me. "Okay, well you know that my mom passed away right .." She said

"Yah"

"And when she passed away she gave me a necklace. That was the only thing i had that was left from her". She started crying again. "But when I was In the train station I realized that I dropped it and when I was looking for it, I couldn't find it. What should I do?" She's crying even more.

I actually felt so bad for her. I don't have anything that reminds me of my mom and I always wished to have something. But i have to help her. If that ever happened to me i would have Lost my only memory of my mom.

I hugged her. "Don't cry I promise that we would find it. We would search for it again later or maybe someone found it and gave it to the train officer so would go later".

"Thank you, but it's okay I don't want you to get involved in my problems"

"Aren't we supposed to be good friends? Friends should help each other" I smiled.

She smiled back and then we went back to class.

Akiyama-san looked at me. I think he knows that we didn't go to the nurse and that there's something wrong.

I just remembered he takes the same train as Hikaru-san maybe he found it.

"Akiyama-san" I whispered

He turned.

"In your way to the train station. Did you find a necklace?" I asked

"No, why are you asking?"

"Well Hikaru-san lost a necklace that was precious to her. But it's okay, I'm going back to look for it later".

"Why do you always stick your nose in other people's problems. It's better if you only stick to yours".

"I am not sticking my nose in other people's conflicts. Hikaru-san is my only good friend. If you actually have friends then you would understand". I got angry.

He's always mean. He thinks I am DUMP and nosy but I actually want to help.

Then I noticed that was mean of me to say.

But he looked shocked when I said that. I think its because it's my first time yelling at him and giving him the straight look.

I think he also got mad at me for saying that he doesn't have any close friends. But he got me mad too. He need to learn his manners.
