Driving up the gravel drive I was greeted by the parents Augustus and Tulip who were bloody rich. THEY HAVE 3 HOUSES! WHO NEEDS 3 HOUSES?! Elizabeth pretend you are not about to walk in a country mansion with hell hound cuts and a obvious mudblood scar on your shoulder. After breaking the news your daughter does drugs and is dead I decided to search her room. Mrs Harrington muttered away im the doorway while I pulled the room apart. Placing some notebooks in a evidence bag then picking some strat hairs off a black FOB t-shirt (i noticed Tullip shudder at the top) I stopped in my tracks when I heard the word diary "did you just say diary?" I asked inquisitively poking my head up from searching the underneath of her bed. "of course her old ones are kept in shoeboxes." Tullip pointed to the wardrobe and I then picked up the ones from her start at secondary school and started to leave but then decided against that and questioned the parents.
We sat down in the living room which appeared to be themed around the colour olive. Everything was olive or cream, it was overpowering. "Just tell me about your daughter " I asked as politely as I could without letting in the temptation stealing their money in my voice. "Well we were the perfect family." Tulip started sweetly "We had a tough period" Augustus butted in "we become strict so she rebelled" he continued "Honey" "no tulip Elizabeth deserves to know. We discovered that Tulip was infertile." Cue major blushing from Tulip "So we lowered Lulu's, what we call...called our angel, curfew enforced new rules. We were too strict so she rebelled by hanging out with the wrong crowd. They smoked so she started smoking. " a deep breath "we found out and threw rules out the window and sent her to rehab and a new school. A fresh start for the whole family"
I decided to interpret "How old?" He quickly replied "oh this happened at the end of year 6, sorry" he carried on "At the new secondary school she joined the cheerleading and gymnastics team, ran for Year 8 president then won, she was the model student." At this point he burst out crying. I decided it was enough for one day. As I stood up to leave when Tulip spoke "can we be left alone over the next couple days. To grieve and tell the family." "Of course" I replied sympathetically I told Jack I was coming back to the hub and roared off.
The journey home was uneventful until i reached the junction where I could go the quick short way home or the long scenic. As it was dark I decided on going the short way home, it was also quite cold. After my decision I pulled out when a van ploughed into me. All i saw was the head of the midnight black van and baklava encased heads. I glew thrpugh the air and I was thrown into a tree. I heard the pop of one of my ribs and tried to get up while I reached for my wand but I collapsed back down. I was then picked up by the guys but I then proceeded to black out.
I woke ties up in the back of the van but the guys are super stupid as my ties are major loose. I wriggled them off but the van stopped. They had definitely not driven a long way as I had not been passed out for long. Or had I? I was dragged out by my hair, and that really bloody hurts. They held me in a fierce headlock "Drop the case or your friends will suffer" the main guy growled holding a knife to my throat. He pressed the knife then realised the pressure. I couldn't hold it in and i screamed as my head was hurting. He punched me quite hard and the guy holding me dropped me onto the gravel. All 4 of the men laughed at me and then drove off. I lay there crying until I heard Jack over the comms "Beth? Where are you?" "I don't know" I honestly replied.
"well are you?" John asked "Hmmm?" I looked up from my book. "Drop the case?" He looked over the top of his newspaper "hell no. I never give a case up" he raised an eyebrow "Snipers John, just snipers" he gave me a look but returned to his newspaper. I continued witg my book; I was reading The lion the witch and the wardrobe. He looked up "What happened to the shoe boxes?" I had explained what had happened and what had happened at the house "I think they were recovered but I'll speak to" It was at this point Benedict popped in "Beth you have not left the sofa for 3 days we are going out"
