Tears started to swell down my face one by one. Thoughts and pain started to flash through my head and heart. Why just why? Is all I can seem to ask myself.

My best friend who I once trusted with my life, betrayed everything we had. She lied to me, in my face too. I told her things of what my boyfriend and I where going through, and he was acting different, only to know the reason why is because of her. She was behind of all it, he loved her. All the advice she gave me was the end it with him, clearly so she can be with him.

I dranked down another sleeping pill with water hoping it will all to go away; it didn't seem to function though. I can perfectly hear people laughing and having a good time downstairs since my mom decided to have a little party, so maybe I can clear my head and not think about anything, little did she know I wanted to be alone. I sound very weak, I know. But it hurts knowing people you loved and cared for completely tossed you away like a meaningless toy.

"Hey hun, you sure you don't want to come and join us?" I hear my mom say while she walked in. I wiped my tears off my face so she wouldn't realize I was crying.

"No mom. Im fine here." I lied and giving her a weak smile.

"Okay, well if you need anything call me." She kisses me on the forehead and walks out closing the door a little bit so it shines light through.

I simply went back to lay down and grabbed a book from the nightstand, "shatter me" is the title of the book. It relates to a lot of what I'm going through right now.

I gasped a little from the vibration of my phone next to me, distracting me from reading any further.

Adam: hey lex, are you okay? I heard what Olivia did. I just finished yelling at her, I'm coming over with vanilla ice cream :)

I smiled at the text and replied.

Me: I'm glad you didn't know, I can't lose another close friend :/ xx thanks!

I sent it, gently putting the phone down I grabbed my book and started to read.

Adam is my best friend too, I trust him a lot but now that Olivia broke our friendship over a boy, I know better than to trust someone a lot.

I heard the doorbell ring and my mom probably got it once she greeted the person in, Adam walked in my room.

"Hey lex." He greeted me and smiled walking over to my bed to lay down.

"Hey Ad." I slowly started to sob and Adam opened his arms to give me a tight hug.

"No no, don't cry baby. It's gonna be okay, I'm here." He voice full of sadness while rubbing my back gently.

"I'm sorry, it just hurts." I looked up at him. "Its alright, I'm here for you. And I dumped Olivia too. If she is gonna betray you, then my friendship with her Is meaningless." He wiped off tears from my face.

"Damn, lex I didn't know you could get me all wet." He laughed looking down at his shirt. I chuckled and nudge him.

"So where's my ice cream?"

"Here, greedy." He joked and passes over the ice cream and I laughed and started to ate from it.

Adam stay with me all night to cheer me up.
