"are you sure about this? I mean a pet is a huge responsibility" I rolled my eyes for the 100th time today.

"yes in sure, I need company. Im lonely when youre at work" I said looking around at all the cats trapped in cages.

"I'm sorry for being absent but ruby is home she's good company." I stifled a laugh.

why can't I just take them all? I want them all. they shouldn't be there trapped in a cage. They should be able to go outside and play.

I looked over at one that caught my eye. she's missing her front leg.

I kneeled in front of the cage aweing when she rubbed herself against the cage wanting to be petted.

I tugged on my dad's hand to prevent him from walking away. he looked down at me with curious eyes.

"I want her." I said smiling at the cat in front of me.

"lou, she's missing a leg" i grumbled in annoyance.

"if I was missing a leg would you love me any less?" I asked standing back up.

"no youre my son."

"mhm yeah. just because she's missing a leg doesn't mean that she will love me any less." I kneeled back down to continue petting the purring cat.

my dad sighed. "but you said you wanted a kitty not a grown ass cat." I ignored him.

I called up the lady to inform her which cat I want.

"louis are you sure? you can still change your mind." he asked as he watched the lady taking the cat out and getting her ready for us to take home.

A couple papers later they finally handed me my cat. I hugged her close to me and it surprised me how calm she is. most cats don't even like to be held.

"youre my new best friend now." she let out a happy meow making me giggle.

I definetely chose the right one.

I set her down on the chair and took my phone out, I snapped a quick picture of her and posted it on my snapchat.

"help your dad out." I looked to the side to see him carrying a couple of full bags of food along with another bag that I have no idea what's in. maybe its toys.

"Sorry I have my hands full. meet you at the car daddy." I grabbed my cat and made my way to the car with an angry looking harry behind me struggling to not let go of the bags.

"I let you adopt the cat, why aren't you talking to me."

"I'll start talking to you when you stop being so damn judgemental over my cat." I mumbled looking down at the sleeping cat on my lap.

"If I didn't like your cat then I wouldn't have bought her all this." he got up and left to his room to come back with the mysterious bag.

I curiously looked at it. "what's in there?"

"how about you take a look yourself" he handed me the bag with a huge smile, almost proud.

I quickly opened the bag curious to find out what's in it.

"Oh my, you bought her cute outfits, thank you daddy" I left the bag go to hug him.

"youre welcome princess. just make sure to wash them when it gets dirty."

"um harry, I don't think it was a good idea to get a freak of a cat." ruby's voice made both of us look at ruby who had her arms crossed looking at my cat with a disgusted face.

I glared at her wrapping my arms around my cat protectively.

"that cat is practically useless. she can't do anything!"

"Ruby. I'm sorry but please for once. be quiet." harry said, ruby looked at him shocked as I as I did as well.

he has never told her to shut up. this is very amusing.

"just make sure to not let that thing get close to me." she walked away stomping her heels on the ground.
