It began with a mail. It was from a casting agency I once signed up for fun and never checked since. The message was saying:

According to our data base your profile is matching our current research of extra for a new film called "Moonwalkers" with Ron Perlman, Rupert Grint and Robert Sheehan..."

Wait, what ?!...Robert sheehan ? My heart missed a beat. I fell in love with this guy the day a friend of me shared a YouTube video staring Nathan of Misfits. Immediately after viewing the video, I bingewatched all the episodes till the third season when Rob left. My heart broken, I put him in a corner of my mind.

I was astonished that he was coming to shoot a movie in Belgium. I immediately subscribed to the casting, they were looking for "hippies people", I got all my chances with my long curly/messy brown hair. I immediately called my best friend to tell her ( she was the only to know about my crush for him -and she never could figure out what I could find in this curly annoying douchebag of Misfit).

Imagine my surprise, some weeks later, when I was called by the casting agency saying I was in ! Regarding the fact that they were looking for like 400 extras it was not a huge achievement but STILL I was gonna shoot a film with Robert Fucking Sheehan. We were in May and the shooting was to begin the 12th but my first shooting day was the 2th June. I couldn't t wait !!!!
I tried to soothe my impatience by literally stalking the film and Robert ( which is actually really easy with fanbase Instagram account) it was crazy to discover picture of him casually hanging in my city ! Of course I never met him in the street, I had to struggle till my first day of shooting.

The D day came ! I had to be on the set at 8'o clock. It felt so good getting acces to the street which was closed to public and full of material trunk and lodges. I found the meeting point I got by mail the day before. A bearded man was waiting/ guarding. I told him I was here to be an extra and he welcomed me with a huge smile saying "hi Juliette, nice to meet you!" surprised that he actually knew who I was, I entered in the tent and was again warmly welcomed by two people, the casting director and his Assistant. I signed my contract and gave them the ID copy I had to bring. More and more people were arriving, they were my fellow hippies. Lots of bearded men and girls with long hair.

Ok tout est en ordre, you can go get dressed and then to the HMC (Habillage Maquillage Coiffure in French, meaning dressing, makeup and hair ). I had already my costume, I had to come and try it several days before the shooting. It was nice. It was a blue ensemble: high waisted pants and a vest that I had to keep open with nothing under ( "no bra: the hippie way, darling "said the costumer in chief). Having no breast, I didn't mind. Some girls had to wear costumes waaaay worse than mine.

Once dressed, the costume intern - a kind chubby girl - gave me some jewellery : mostly silver. I was ready for le maquillage and la coiffure !

There was already a bunch of girls waiting in line. I joined them and we chatted whilequeuing. One of the girl was really used to be an extra and this time she was a "featured extra" because she was going to be a naked hippie. She didn't mind and it was better paid. The other was just like me, a newbie. None of them knew who Robert Sheehan was, they were rather excited about meeting Rupert Grint.

Finally my turn came, one of the make up artist gestured at me that I could come by her. I sit on the chair and she began to applie foundation on my face. I was really curious about the way they were gonna do our make up. The sixties were known for their extravagant eyes and I was really hoping to get a Twiggy look and... I was no disappointed. The lady put me big fat fake eye lashes, eyeliner and achieved the look with a blue and green smokey. It was incredible how my eyes were enhanced by the make up. I was so happy, I eagerly  thanked the lady. She seemed really pleased - and surprised- by my enthusiasm and told me that when my hair would be done she'd gave me nail polish for the touche finale. She then quietly asked one of the hair dresser to take care of me, whispering with a wink that she was the best . The hair dresser was indeed really talented as she turned my hair into a big messy half poneytail with loads and loads of hairspray, it was really Brigitte Bardot like, I was so happy ! But it was nothing compared to the jump my stomach did when a heard a man asking one of the hairdressers if she could go to the actors lodge because "Robert just arrived". (do pronounce "Robert" the french way: "Rô-berre" when reading my story, because that's how he's been called for 3 months) I was so thrilled by my make up and hair transformation that I had almost forgot about him.

I had one single though in my mind and it was: hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii (hello maturity and psychic balance)

As promised, the friendly makeup lady gave me the nail polish and I went to a corner to try to apply it without making a mess ( as I usually do) the colour was bright green, it was so fun.

- Juliette ?
I look over my shoulder and discover the casting director "waouh great makeover " he tells me. "Thanks" I say, blushing. He then looks a bit embarrassed.

- Look, Juliette, for this scene, the director would like two girls to kiss in front of the camera, you know, hippie things and all...(now, he's the one blushing). "And he choose 5 girls among the extras who I have to ask about it. You would be paid more..Of course.... It's up to you really, if you don't feel it, no problem.

Oh boy.
