It was the big day. Dean's 37th Birthday. The first one that you have spent with him ever since you were together.
Sam, Castiel and you were planning this for a long time. Your boyfriend was hardly ever easy to scare, plus he knows when something is up. Hopefully, this will go well.
You, Sam and Castiel hide in different areas of the Bunker, with all of the lights turned off. You hear Dean enter the Bunker and begin turning on the lights.
"(Y/n)?" He yells. He carries some groceries.
"Sammy? Cas?" He begins to sneakily walk into the kitchen. He cannot see his present yet. You knock on the wall next to you to avert his attention to you. He begins to walk past you and once he does you follow right behind.
You jump on him from behind, which makes him fall to the ground on his back.
"Happy Birthday Babe!" You lean down and kiss him. Sam and Castiel throw confetti on top of us. He looks surprised!
"Happy Birthday to me..." He says to himself smiling. I get off of him and help him up.
"Here quick, let's go to the kitchen!" I grab his hand and run with him to the kitchen.
A gigantic pie was sitting on the kitchen table, multiple candles lighting up the surface.
"Wow, not such a traditional cake." Dean says.
"Well, it is for a special person." You wink at Dean. He kisses you on the forehead.
You, Cas, and Sam begin to chant Happy Birthday.
Dean blows out the candles and smiles.
He finally smiles after living his life on guilt and frustration. The man who has been your rock, and most importantly of all your knight in shining armor.
