New World (Gem Grumps AU)

Chapter One

Dan's POV

"BARRY I THINK SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH ME!" I yell from my room. I knew Barry was asleep, but I yelled loud enough for him to wake up.

I heard him stumble down the hall to my room. "Wha-what is it Dan?" Barry asked with some worry in his voice. "THIS THING!" I turned around and pointed to my back. "What the fuck is that?!" Barry's eyes widened. "A rock?!" He came to look closer and tapped it with his knuckle. "Yup, that's a rock." He confirms.

I turn back around and look at his forehead. "Dude, you have one, too! It's orange!" I point to his face and poke it. His hand slowly moved up to his head and he rubbed it. "Should we see a doctor about this?" I ask. "I-I don't know. It's kind of like this show on-" I interrupt him mid-sentence. "NOT NOW BARRY, I HAVE TO CALL ARIN AND TELL HIM I WONT BE IN TODAY!" I run out off my room and grab my phone on the kitchen counter. I call up Arin and he responds within the second ring. "Oh my god, Dan! You won't believe this! I have this cool rock thing on my hand! And Suzy has one, too!" Arin says excitedly into the phone. "I have one, too. What the fuck is going on?" "Does Barry have one?" He asks, still slightly excited. "Yeah, and I bet Ross does, too." I respond. "Let's go to the grump space and figure this shit out." Arin suggests.

Time skip

We all meet up at the grump space with those weird rock things. Ross is excited as hell for some reason. "Hey, Barry..." Ross sneaks up behind him. "What is it, Ross?" He asks. "We...are the crystal-" "GODDAMN IT ROSS SHUT UP FOR A SECOND." I tell in anger. Everybody looks over and stares at me like I have three heads. "Wha-what?" I say. "You're gl-gl-glowing!" Arin exclaims, dumbfounded. I touch the rock thing on my back and I feel something sticking out of it. I pull it out slightly, but quick jerk my hand off it.

I don't know what's happening.
I'm scared.

I move my hand back to the still glowing rock and pull the rest of the thing out. I hold it in front of me. We all stare in silence for a moment.

"Dude..." Arin murmurs. "We totally are the crystal gems." Ross whispers behind me.
