Race

"We're coming Sabrina..."

I jolt up in bed, and shake the voice from my head. Bad dreams seem to have become regular for me, even though we defeated the Scarlet Hand.

I get ready, putting on a pair of dark skinny jeans and a T-Shirt that says, "Coffee Is My Spirit Animal"

(He-he, I actually have that shirt)

I groan when I see what Granny has prepared for breakfast today. Orange sausage and green juice, with blue "eggs".

Well, it's either this or not eat until lunch, so I eat it.

As I gag on my food, I zone out and think back to before the Ever after war. I think of when I thought Granny Relda was crazy. I think of when I first met Puck. That leads me to think about our kiss. And... how I punched him in his stomach after. Okay, so maybe I may have over reacted, but he freaking kissed me! He was my first kiss, not someone I love... right? Ugh, now I think I may be crazy. Thinking I love puck? Ridiculous. I'm probably just tired.

I change into a pair of running shorts and a tank top, and put my hair into a high ponytail. Time to go running.

Around halfway into my run, I am surprised to hear something running beside me.

"Wanna race?" Puck asks.

Speak of the devil.

"Tell me, why would I race you, fairy boy?" I ask, speeding up slightly.

"Psh, obviously to attempt to prove that you're better at this, even though you're gonna fail,"

I think about it. Even though Puck is annoying, proving I'm better than him at something, even if it's just running, would help keep him in check.

"Fine, just give me a minute," I take a drink from my water bottle, then go up to a crack in the pavement.

"Okay, race starts here, fairy boy, and ends at the corner," I say, and he walks over to the crack and gets into a running position.

"3, 2, 1...GO!" I say, racing ahead.

"Why so slow Grimm?" I hear Puck say, and I'm surprised to hear his voice come from above me.

"You cheater!! You weren't supposed to fly!!" I scream at him as he passes by.

He laughs. "When did you ever say that?"

Crap, he's got me there. I never really said that.

We get to the corner of the street and he flies down.

"Good game?" He says, holding out his hand for me to shake.

I scowl at him, then come up with an evil plan.

"Sure, Puck. Good game,"

He pauses. I guess he wasn't expecting me to go with it.

I grab hold of his hand and pull him closer to me, so that my back is right against his chest.

I can feel his heartbeat speed up, and mine too. That was just from the running though, right? I could not be exited to be this close to Puck... right?

"Uh... Gr-Grim? Eh, er, w-what are you doing?" He stammers.

In response, I turn and put my arms around his neck, and get on my tiptoes so that we are the same height. Then I lean in, until we are a hair apart. I can feel his heartbeat speed up even more..I pretend to close my eyes, while keeping them open a little. I see him close his eyes and start to move in. Then I walk away, leaving a very flushed and disoriented Puck behind.

"Stupid!" I laugh back at him.

His mouth bobs open and closed, then he stomps away, looking back at me multiple times.

When I walk back into the house, I am laughing so hard I think I may burst.

Sabrina:1 Puck:0  I think.
