Hey everyone! this is my first story on here! hope you enjoy the intro!

~~~~~~*~~~~~~
The world, my world specifically, needed a change. It's been hard and my brother and I cant take it anymore! I thought school and friends were my biggest problems as a teenager, but that was before I found out who my father was! Now, i'm sitting on a train with my brother going back home to London. About three hours ago we were being picked up from the airport. It felt like the longest flight in the world from California.
I should probably explain how we got there...
~~~~~~*~~~~~~

My name is Melody, Melody Sins. I am 16 years old. My twin brother, Matt, and I moved to London about a month ago to live with our Uncle after our mom passed away. Uncle Dan and my mom loved each other very much, and I was ecstatic when he said he would take us in. He really was the only person who could considering none of my dad's side of the family even exists... I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't exist either, but you know, how kids happen, he kind of has to now doesn't he?

But anyways! We lived in a small town near Pittsburgh, PA for all of our lives, and with one second, one mini disaster, our world was turned upside down.

What happened was, my mom was driving home one day from work and when she was crossing the usual bridge, according to witnesses, it began to shake violently and just like that, it snapped in two, collapsing. The police and rescue teams worked for weeks looking for her body at the bottom of the Ohio River after they found her car. They never found her.

It has been hard losing Mom, but we weren't as close as we could have been. Mostly, this was because of how many questions I asked about my dad. It always ended in her yelling about him going back to Hell where he belonged and to drop the subject. After that, she would get a little teary eyed and would leave the room. I could tell she loved him alot but there are no pictures of him and she would never say his name, at least out loud.
