The nightmare

this is a long chapter...I'm trying a different writing style so bare with me.....also pay attention to Jacobs dreams they will help you figure out what's going to happen next

Dear mommy,

I love you soo much and it hurts that this will be the last time I will walk this earth.... I need you to take the money I left you and leave. I know I promised you I wouldn't end up like Tayshuan and be on the streets....but I didn't listen. I thought doing this would help us. so yes I lied, I never had a job. my job is in the streets. mom I need you to follow these steps below please

1. take this money that's in the duffle bag and move.... as far way from here as you can

2. whatever you do don't come looking for me back here.... Just don't

3. I want you to move on with your life... and don't worry about me....eventually ill come back..... hopefully alive

mommy I love you very much and I wish I would have just listend to you...but for now....

PS:make sure jayshuan doesn't make the same mistake as me and Tayshuan

I put the duffel bag on the bed gently trying not to wake her up... o placed the letter on top of the Duffel bag and looked at my mother asleep in her bed pale... her eyes looked kinda puffy and her nose red....she had been crying all night. today was Tayshuan birthday... he would have been 21 this year old.

I walked out of her room I was headed towards the door where my backpack laied on the floor next to the door... jayshuan was holding my bags.... I looked I to his eyes... all I saw anger

he glared at me and I took my bag out of his hand and walked towards the door.

"Jake are you really gonna just leave us. " he said in the nicest way possible

"Jay, it's for the best okay. "

I walked out side and he followed me

he closed the door quietly and the ran up to me

" Jacob you can't just leave we all she got left. and you just gone leave her like that though Wtf !"

"yea I'm trying to make sure she doesn't have to lose me the bad way getting a call saying her second oldest has been shot dead...then she finds out I was in a gang. Hell no I wouldn't put her through that again."

"Nigga you doing it now just leaving her here and I bet you left a note like tayshuan did... Jacob did you not know he got shot 2days later. and you doing exactly what he did and mom told us both...but your ignorant ass don't never wanna listen but me.... imma be more of a man than you and Tay ever was best believe that. " He said as is voice cracked a little.

"And you think I wanna leave... if they can't find me they coming for one of y'all and if they come after mom I wouldn't know what to do. so if that means me having to bring myself to this point then I will... to protect y'all !" I yelled starting to get frustrated with him.

He is only 13 and he thinks he knows me.

he clenched his jaw and balled up his fist.

" when we get that call saying you died and gone... I won't be the least bit of sad. you brought this apon yourself. you and Tay both. so have a nice life Jacob. well should I say have a nice amount of time you have on the earth cause who knows how long you still be here..."

I just stared at him not knowing what to say. knowing that he won't care that I die hurts me... I know its out of anger... I took off my back pack and pulled out a huge stack and shoved it in his hand, he looked down for 10 seconds at his hand but before he could speak I was already about 6 feet away.

"just take care of mom...please Jay. and don't make the same mistake we did."

he just noded and I turned around he stayed and watched as I walked down the street. I then looked back.there was a truck that was coming down the street....

I started running towards jayshuan as he looked at it.

"JAYSHUAN RUUNN !!!!" I screamed.

he looked at me and started running towards me but he looked back and seen a group of boys his age I looked and saw screaming. my mom she woke up with the letter in her hand she started screaming... jayshuan turned around and looked at me as tried running away from the group of boys I looked him right in his eyes.....my brother then fell on the ground....the boys ran back to the car and drove off... I ran to jayshuan me and my mother both....he was loading blood

I looked around and seen Tayshuan standing next to me.... he was wearing the same thing he had on when he was shot. sweat pants a black hoodie and his hair out of his ponytail he looked right at me

I looked at him and jayshuan. I started screaming.... Tayshuan started shaking me as my mother held onto jayshuan trying to keep him awake

"Jacob....Jacob...Jake...Jakee...." I then felt something cold splash me in my face

I woke

Tayshuan stood over me with a crazy/stank face... he was holding a bucket.

"Yo, You Ight nigga."

"Y-yea I guess."

he noded his head...his facial expersion changed to just a stank face....

"well..... T'F YOU SCREAMING FOR NIGGA IT 6AM HELL WE ALL GOTTA BE SOMEWHERE AND YO ASS SCREAMING WAKING UP A NIGGA..... Jacob, act like you got some damn since.... STFU !"

he then stomped out my room leaving me speach less.

jayshuan peeked inside my room as I started ringing out my hair.

he stood there with a sleepy face and looked at me.

"Jayshuan take yo ass back to sleep !" I yelled before he opens his mouth.

"whaaaeva just keep it down."

he then slammed my door causing Tayshuan to start screaming again... I just rolled my eyes.
