when I finally woke up I walked in the living room Tayshuan was on the couch watching some dumbass movie.

"what are you watching."

"The Color of friendship....its getting to be Jake got me over here crying and shit. " he wiped his eyes and sat back.

I grabed the remote changing the channel to Vh1 ain't that America was on

" Jacob you little Bitch I was watching that nigga !" he yelled

I laughed and walked out the room and into the kitchen jayshuan was sitting there looking lost.

I sat next to him

" Yo, wassup jay. you Ight."

"mom left Jacob. she gone and I don't think she is coming back." His voice started to crack and I could tell he wanted to cry.

he pushed a piece of paper towards me as Tayshuan walked inside the kitchen he stoped when he seen jayshuan start to form tears in his eyes.

I can't wake up every morning knowing that somebody could call me and tell me my son has been shot dead in the streets. I looked at Tayshuan... He looked angry his face was red and his jaw was clenched tight as he started making a growling noise.

Jayshuan sat next to me with his head down silently crying

as he walked out the kitchen

Jay followed him and when I came from out the kitchen they was both outside.

I saw a truck coming down the street... the sane truck from my dream......

"TAYSHUAN THE TRUCK RUUUNN !"

I screamed,grabbing Jayshuan by his arm and running inside the house...

I heard Tayshuan behind us as we went through the back yard Tayshuan grabed a Duffel bag underneath the porch as me and Jay hoped the wall into a side walk still running.... we ran then soon heard gun shots I looked and saw Tayshuan had a 2 matching guns shooting at the car. that came around the corner

I kept running and so did jayshuan... we seen a alley and decided to just hide there we hid behind a garbage can.... it took us 5 minutes to catch his breathe then started gasping for air..... he is having a asthma attack !

Tayshuan came over to was and bent over catching his breathe

"jayshuan is having a asthma attack. "

Tayshuan pulled out his inhaler shaking it and pushing it into jayshuan mouth and pressed the button so he can breathe.... he catches his breathe and we get up and start walking towards the end of the alley as we walk Tayshuan stops in front of a car... he then bangs on window.... the window comes down and you see his friend Davonte

he unlocked the doors and we got inside the car

"they shot at us vonte. They are on to us... we gotta hide the stash."

"that's when least of our problems....they shot Cory, James, and they killed Maya."

jayshuan while facial expersion changed.... so did mine... Maya is vonte lil sister... she was only 4 years old.

" Hell naww we going after them niggas...fuck that sh-"

"Tayshuan I'm done with this life man....they killed my baby sister nigga... that girl was innocent. Tayshuan I'm quitting the gang. and moving as far away from here as I can."

Tayshuan looked at him like he had lost his mind

Devonte stoped the car and pulled up to a hotel... we got out the car and Devonte left not saying Bye or anything.

"Tayshuan you have to quite....your the only one we got left right now....and we just almost lost you..why the hell would you not leave we need yo get outta here Tayshuan...move like Vonte."

Tayshuan looked at me with disgust ...

"Jacob don't start cause if we do leave how are we gonna make it with out us have jobs."

"We can get some nigga...its not difficult !"

we checked inside a room and we didn't speak to eachother. just complete silence.
