The Chosen Ones || Stydia.

WAR

The gods of Olympus always knew this day would come. They could sense Hades's army on the way. They could sense wickedness and dark beasts trying to break Olympus's gates. Hades was at his strongest times, the gods knew they were weak and wouldn't be able to survive his attack. Zeus stands up from his throne and says "We have to bring humanity a chance of survival", looking at every member of his family sitting on they're thrones.

"What do you suggest we do brother? We are running out of time!" says Poseidon.

"I suggest we do an oath of giving our powers to those who are worthy of them, this will keep Hades from being the all powerful over the earth"
"Are you demented?" Says Aphrodite, standing up and raising her voice at Zeus "These humans have helped Hades get stronger with their wickedness, and you think they are worthy of our powers?"

"Not all of them make wrong choices dear sister, there are some who try to do good, to protect and save innocent people, I have been watching them for a long time and I have chosen them to complete our destiny" says Zeus looking at his family with a peaceful yet worried look.

"And how do you know these chosen ones won't just take advantage of our powers and make more chaos, helping Hades get stronger without even noticing" says Cronos  looking at his son confused.

"Because dear father, even though all of us will die on this day trying to protect Olympus, one of us will stay alive and travel safe and sound through the Nemeton to find them and...." Just then Demeter, his bright and beautiful sister yet pretty selfish at the time, interrupted him saying "And whom will that be brother? You? You deserve to die fighting just like the rest of us"  

"No, Hestia will be the one leaving Olympus at the time of our deaths; she will travel to earth and she will find them, she will guide them to become wise and strong warriors, just like all of us are!"

Hestia is the goddess of fire. She isn't as famous as the rest of her famous family but she is the first generation of the Titans Cronos and Gea. She knows just how to protect herself and just how to train the people who are going to be chosen.

"Is she okay with this?" Asks her mother Gea with a worried look on her face.

"Yes, mother" says Hestia, a tall woman with brown hair and hazel eyes that burn like fire. "I know the responsibility that I'm taking and I know that the future of humanity is in my hands but I know that earth deserves a second chance, one without Hades interfering with anything" she says, her voice breaking, trying to stop the tears from coming out. She knows that Hades had to die, but the feeling of having to kill her nephew was breaking her. However, she knew that it was still the right thing to do.

"Brothers, sisters, father, mother, we don't have much time. We must make our decision now! You can choose to stand with me and give humanity a second chance, or you can fight and die protecting Olympus" says Zeus, hoping that his family would follow him.

Only Poseidon and Artemis stood with Zeus and Hestia. The rest chose to die protecting Olympus. "It looks like we all made our choice" says Zeus.

"Sorry my brother, but I think I speak above all of us when I say that it is a waste of time to give our special powers to people who don't know they are destroying their home without even noticing." says Aphrodite, with a sad look on her face, knowing she is making the wrong choice, but taking the selfish risk of not helping.

Suddenly, one of the Olympus's guards comes up and screams to the gods "MY LORDS, THE GATES HAVE BEEN BROKEN BY HADES'S ARMY, HE IS ON HIS WAY HERE!"

"Do you think you could save us some time? Says Zeus looking worried that his plan won't work. "We will do our best sir, but there are thousands of beasts coming our way I don't think we will be enough" says the guard looking at Zeus hopelessly.

Zeus looks at his family with a face of disappointment, but that changes when his father Cronos says "Go son, do what you have to do we will save you time" Zeus nods and runs with his brother and sisters to the room of oaths.  They all made a circle around the cut down Nemeton tree on Olympus. They closed their eyes letting Zeus start the oath. "We will make this oath in the name of Zeus, Poseidon, Artemis, and Hestia to give our powers to those who are worthy of them. At the time that three of us die, our powers will pass down to their rightful owners. At the time Hestia leaves Olympus her powers will also pass down to their rightful owner."

When the oath is done each of them feel something missing and started to feel weak. They started seeing and sensing dark smoke coming from the throne room. "Hades is here, we should go back and help our family fight!" Says Artemis looking worried "Hestia, you will stay here and when each of us is dead you will feel a big storm coming to earth. That will be your signal to leave sister" looking at her sister tears start to come out. After they say their goodbyes Zeus get close to Hestia and tells her "Please don't look back, find the chosen ones, guide them, and help them make the right decisions. Humanity's survival is in your hands... I love you and thank you for doing this", he leaves his sister there next to the Nemeton knowing that those were the last words he will ever say to her.

When Zeus enters the Throne room he sees it's dark and there is no sign of his family, when suddenly he finds Hades walking towards him with big dark beasts beside him: "Well, well, well look who decides to join the party, my big brother Zeus" he says sarcastically, "Hades, you don't have to do this brother stop this wickedness and end this.." says Zeus begging his brother to stop the evil he was making. "Oh I won't stop, I want Olympus for myself since none of you gave me a place here. And wickedness? Dear brother I think we both know that wicked is good for me and I won't stop until the Olympus and earth is in my hands, but for that you will have to die" says Hades looking at his brother like he enjoys every word that is coming out of his mouth. The place gets dark again and Zeus can't see anything, but he feels it, his end is near, when suddenly out of the darkness he feels a cold sharp blade slice through his chest, his own brother had killed him. "Y-You W-Will loose H-Hades" says Zeus laying on the floor, slowly dying from all the blood loss. Hades gets close to him holding his head high, enjoying the show of his brothers death laughing he asks "And who will be there to stop me? You are all dead! Zeus, with the last strength he has, he opens his mouth and says "T-The chosen ones".
