Hermione do pulled her cloak tighter around her body. Her breath hung in the cold air. She clutched her wand tightly as she made her way deeper into the Forbidden Forest searching. Every few metres raising her wand and crying out the summoning charm. She knew she was approaching the clearing Harry had told her about where he had come to face Voldemort ready to die for his friends.

Hermione got down on her hands and knees and groped around the fallen leaves and broken branches the earthy decaying smell of leaves and damp soil filled her nose. She continued to crawl around for what seemed to be hours. The sun was beginning to set and the cold light filtered through the branches above her. Finally, as she crawled forward again she felt her knee go over something small and hard. She sat up and picked up the small black stone. Rubbing the dirt from it she could just make out the symbol of the deathly hallows, the carving interrupted by the deep crack that had been inflicted on it by the sword of Gryffindor 3 years earlier.

Hermione closed her eyes, turning the stone slowly in her hands, concentrating on the man she so desperately wanted to see again.

"Hermione"

At the sound of his voice her eyes flew open and she felt a lump in her throat grow. Tears welled up in her eyes and she stumbled to her feet and rushed towards the tall red head, but as she reached towards him wanting to fall into his arm, she noticed the slight transparency to him and knew that she would never feel his touch again even with the hallow in her hand. She slowed, her tears were now running freely down her face.

"Why did you have to leave me?" Hermione cried as she sank once more to her knees clutching herself tightly. Trying to stop herself from shaking. Her sobs causing her whole body to shudder. "Why did this have to happen me? To you? To us?"

There's was silence. Hermione looked up afraid that he had gone, but he was still there standing there watching her with sad eyes. He moved towards her and crouched down beside her. Close enough to touch her.

"Because we're dealing with Deatheaters or what's left of them, and since when did they care about our happiness?" Ron said coldly. "It's our fault though. I gave it a lot of thought. We let too many of them go. Second chances. Harry wanted to give them another chance and that's why this happened. They should all have died. Don't you think, Hermione? Don't you agree?"

Hermione wiped her eyes and looked at Ron. There was something different about him, something cold. But he was right, they should have all been killed. Why had they been let go?

"Yes."

"Start with Malfoy, Hermione. Find out from him who killed me, and then kill Malfoy and then kill the man who killed me."

"Yes."

A/N I don't know folks. So can I pretend that before Hermione is slowly going to the dark side that the "people" she brings back are affected by this too? I feel like this isn't Dramione at all anymore even though I mean for it to be. Argh!!
Also, sorry for the delay. I've been reading LOTR so I'm running low on HP ideas.
Probably won't have an update for a while though. It's going to be a pretty crazy semester. Sorry in advance!
