Car Rides

           "I cannot believe you're making us do this", Stiles complains as he shoves a sleeping-bag into the back of his jeep. "Come on, Stiles. When I talked to Theo, we both thought this would be a good thing. We thought that, if both our packs got to know each other a little better, it might ease some of the tension we've created", Scott explains, making sure his bags are in order. "Yeah. A great opportunity to make s'mores, talk, and have a Kanima hybrid girl dig her claws into our backs", Stiles replies, giving him an annoyed look. "Stiles, you're the only one who's having are really hard time with it. Liam agreed because Hayden's coming, Kira and Malia are both on board, Lydia is even in a stable place to come and join us", Scott tells him, hoping Malia and Lydia being there might make him ease into the idea. Stiles thinks for a moment, then says, "Fine. I'll stop complaining...for now. Just tell me who's riding in the jeep with us." Scott hesitates before saying, "Well...that's kinda complicated." "Please tell me Theo isn't riding with us", Stiles says with a look of aggravation on his face. 

           Scott gives a guilty nod before Stiles continues. "Scott, I'm not riding in the same car as him." "Come on, Stiles. It's a good way to kick off this whole trip", Scott begs, hoping for the argument to stop. "Yeah, Stiles. Give it a chance", Theo suddenly says, making both guys jump slightly. "Is there anyone else I need to be prepared for?", Stiles asks. Theo shifts his head over a little for him to see Tracy standing behind him. "Why am I not surprised? I get to ride with a guy who I despise and a girl who has paralyzed me twice", he exclaims, climbing into the jeep and slamming the door. Scott turns to the Chimeras and says, "That's the best we're probably going to get from him right now. Tracy, why don't you sit up front with Stiles and I'll sit in the back with Theo." Tracy nods and climbs into the passenger side. "Hey Stiles", she says with a slight smile. Stiles turns, looks at her and sighs out, "Hello, Tracy." Scott and Theo then climb into the back and being talking. "So, did the rest of your group find a ride?", Scott asks. "Yeah. Josh is going to be driving Corey, Hayden, and Liam. What about yours?", Theo asks in response. "Lydia is going to be riding with Kira and Malia  to ease her way back into things", Scott answers with a small smile. 

            "Are you guys ready to go?", Stiles asks annoyingly. "Yeah Stiles. Lets get going", Scott tells him in response. A moment later, they pull out of the garage and head off to the camp ground. Meanwhile, Josh was having the most boring ride of his life. Liam and Hayden were being sickeningly sweet in the back seat of his car while him and Corey were sitting in awkward silence up front. Corey looks around the car, turns on the radio and ends up tapping his hand to Selena Gomez. "This is a really good song", he says, looking over at Josh. "Yeah. Selena is a...great singer", Josh replies, his eyes locked on the road. Corey nods his head in response before saying, "You know, I can actually feel the awkwardness in the air." "I couldn't agree with you more", Josh replies, relaxing himself a little. "I mean, it's not just awkward because we technically don't have anything and common, but those two are being to lovey dovey for me back there", Josh continues, gesturing towards Liam and Hayden; both of them simply whispering to one another with their noses pressed together. "Yeah. That is kind of awkward", Corey laughs before the simply sink back into awkward silence. 

              Not far away, Kira and Lydia were holding on for dear life. Why they let Malia convince them to let her drive, they don't know. All they know, is that they were seriously regretting it. "So I'm doing pretty good, right guys?", Malia asks with a small smile on her face as they make their way to the campground. "Well...I wouldn't say pretty good. Slightly better is more accurate", Kira replies as she grips the passenger assist handle so hard she nearly breaks it. The car shakes back and forth, up and down, every way they could think of. "If you could slow down a little Malia, that would be fantastic", Lydia says as she tightens her seatbelt more and more. "Why? I mean, the speed I'm going now will get us there in just a couple of minutes", Malia states, her eyes intensely focused on the road. "That's what we're afraid of", Kira says under her breath.  Moments later, they see the camp entrance and Lydia and Kira let out sighs of relief; ready to jump out of the car and kiss the ground.  Malia quickly slams on the breaks and jerks them all forward. "We're here", she says with a smile. "Great", Lydia says before jumping out of the car and throwing up. 

              "So over dramatic, Lydia", Malia says as she grabs their sleeping bags out of the trunk. Seconds later, they see Stiles's jeep pull up along with Josh's car. And, what the girls see shocks them. Stiles and Tracy...laughing. Actually looking at each other, talking and laughing. They stop the car and get out along with Theo and Scott who, as well, were smiling and laughing as well. "Are you guys high, was there a gas leak, or are the four of you actually getting along?", Malia asks as everyone unpacks their cars. "Well, when you're trapped in a car for almost an hour with two people you despise, I guess you can get used to one of them", Stiles says, looking at Tracy with a grin. "Wish I could say the same", Josh says as he gives an annoyed look at Liam and Hayden. Scott gives a small laugh before patting him on the back and saying, "Okay guys. Lets get camp set up."
