POV
Shannen Charm Robertson

I was tired and my muscles are achy, I should've asked Nathan, my best friend, to help me tonight.

As usual, I have to stay late again, the kids will be having a recital tomorrow and I want to surprise them with the stage design. They worked hard for this after all.

Locking up the studio, I walked to the parking lot while looking for my keys. I was busy searching my bag that I did not noticed the man standing in the shadows, nor the man that was crouching behind my car.

I looked up, finally finding my keys, and from the reflection on my window saw a man standing behind me. I prepared to scream but it was too late.Something hard smashed on the side of my head then darkness hugged me, welcomed me in its arms.

I remembered nothing more...
