Chapter 2

Mom,

It's so nice to finally be able to relax... Master is taking us to Tropicana for an entire month! I can't wait. But I need to go now (literally, Natsu's tugging on my arm), so I'll write soon! Love you mom!

Mirajane's POV

The sun is shining, and I inhale deeply, taking in the peaceful surroundings. That is, until Natsu punches Gray so hard that  he bowls me over too. I clench my fists and turn around, activating my demon soul. "Boys. Get. In. The. Minibus... NOW."

Their reaction is quite comical really.

But I must say, I am rather pleased with my seating plan for the minibus. I draw a mental diagram.

[Back of the bus]

Wendy+Romeo   Elfman+Evergreen

Erza+??????          Gray+Juvia

Natsu+Lucy          Levy+Gajeel

Le me (as the driver)+Master (although he may need to accompany a different minibus)

[Front of the bus]

As everybody clambers onto the minibus I call, "Oh, and Erza? I think you may want to see a special someone."

A figure with a scarf concealing his face steps onto our vehicle. I notice that when she sees him, she gives a gasp and then turns beet red. As for Jellal, well I can't see much of his face, but from 2 feet away I can see his pupils dilating as he looks at her. I gesture towards the only empty seat on the bus. "Come on Mystogan, have a seat!"

He strides over to the seat and sits down gingerly. Almost as if he's... asking for forgiveness? Erza gives him a gentle smile, and unties his scarf. He smiles back at her, and I feel as if my heart is about to explode. Giggling inwardly, I walk around to the Driver's seat, only to find it occupied.

"Hop in babe. I'm driving today!"

Laxus' POV

I smirk as she squeaks and flushes a gorgeous shade of crimson. She can be so adorable sometimes...

Mirajane's POV

He... he just called me 'babe'. 'BABE'?!! Well, it looks like I have no choice but to sit next to him. My knees tremble slightly, and I climb into the minibus. Why is my heart pounding so fast? SNAP OUT OF IT MIRA!! I will NOT succumb towards my feelings. And I most certainly won't think about his face, or his eyes or his muscles... or hi-his-- CRAP.

Laxus' POV

I watch as she begins to shiver slightly and flush an even deeper shade of red. I meet her eyes, but she looks away quickly. "Yo Mira, are you cold?" I don't wait for an answer and decide to drape my coat round her petite shoulders. I strap the SE plug around my wrist and grin, watching out of the corner of my eye as she snuggles into its comfortable depths.

"Alright everyone! Fasten your seat-belts and get cozy; this is gonna be a looooong ride. Oh and Natsu, Gajeel? Try to control your motion sickness."

I turn around and see both Levy and Lucy groaning, while holding out barf bags to the two dragon slayers. I snicker- an upside to having a lacrima implanted into my body instead of being a 'true dragon slayer' is that me and moving things get along just fine.

"Alright then, let's get moving!"

I stamp on the pedal, and then remember that a delicate sleeping beauty is snoring softly next to me. Being the amazing gentleman that I am, I slow down to give Mira a much more peaceful slumber. I glance over at her. Waves of snow decorate her fair face. The hint of a smile plays upon her complexion, and my heart softens. She looks so beautiful...

But then reality slaps me in the face and I realize that I'm driving a bus full of wizards on a busy road and daydreaming may not be the best idea ever.

Natsu's POV

Well this sucks. I'm sat here puking my guts out while we're meant to be enjoying a relaxing vacation. And on top of it all, Lucy is completely ignoring me and is chatting to Levy about her novel... HOW COME LEVY GETS TO SEE IT BUT NOT ME?! I'll never understand girls. I mean, its not like Lucy would EVER fall for a simple-minded guy like me, what with her being so intelligent and drop-dead gorgeous and-- WHERE DID THOSE THOUGHTS COME FROM?! 

I stop mid-vomit and turn to the blue cat hovering over my head.

"Happy?"

"Aye?"

"Do ya ever think that the princess would fall in love with the dragon for once, instead of the prince?"

I feel blood rush to my cheeks and look down.

"What, you mean... YOU AND LUCY?"

WOW, Happy, you're SO sensitive. You just had to go and tell the world.

Lucy turns around in her seat and gives me a curious look.

"I'm sorry, I heard my name being mentioned?"

I stutter, "Oh hey Luce, i-it's nothing!" I give her what I hope to be a reassuring smile. But then, of course, Happy has to interfere. Fluttering over to her shoulder, he giggles. "He llloooooooovvvveeeessss you!"

Her face goes so red that I legitimately think that she may be ill. "SHUT IT, CAT!"

Well, there goes Happy.

Realization hits me. My face feels like it's on fire, and it most DEFINITELY is not the type of fire that I like.

Lucy's POV

Um... Natsu's face is on fire. As in, it is LITERALLY burning up. But as Happy's message slowly sinks in, my face begins to rival Natsu's. Do you think he really does like me? No, h-he couldn't. I'm his partner. Plus, I didn't even know Natsu was capable of loving someone. But maybe I was wrong about him. Maybe I should-

WAIT. WHERE THE HELL DID THAT THOUGHT COME FROM?!

"Luce. Luce?? LUCY!" 

My eyes refocus and Natsu is shaking my shoulders with an anxious expression. 

"Gosh, Luce, you scared me! What were you doing anyway?"

And that's when I realised that I had just zoned out and stared at Natsu for the past 3 minutes. Screw my cheeks being hot, I FEEL LIKE I'M BEING CREMATED.

"OH MY GOSH! Uh, sorry Natsu... I just kind of zoned out for a second..." I hid my face behind my hands.

He gave me a gigantic smile. And I must say, his smiles are ADORABLE. I caught myself blushing (once again). His hands were still on my shoulders. He seemed to notice too, and quickly took them off of my shoulders.

"You know... you haven't been sick in the past 10 minutes!" I exclaimed!

As if on cue, his face contorts and he buries his scarlet expression into the barf bag. I sigh. How attractive. -_-
