Temper Tantrums

Finally it was 6th period and the end of my day. I sat in the quad waiting for Nova to show up so we can leave. I pulled out my phone and looked through some messages that I got.

From: Mommy<3

Hey baby. I hope that you are having a great first day at school. Don't forget that Aiden gets out at 1:30.

I left money for dinner tonight. Please can you clean up Aidens room and the living room and have your

brother do the kitchen and wash the clothes. I love you baby and have a great day. We should be home

later so dont wait up.

I smiled at my moms message. I get the easy stuff to clean this week. I looked at the time and it was only 12:45. I flipped to the next text.

Hey lyssa You probably get your moms text so I wont nag you with all of that. You've been goo at doing

your chores and taking care of Aiden so i left some extra money in your room. Have a great day. I love

you baby girl and keep up the good work.

I did my happy dance man i freakin love this dude. He's the best step dad ever man! I'm so glad that my mom found Jason. We have known him since we were little because he was our doctor. Him and my dad were cool to. He spoiled us rotten. After my dad died he stepped up and was here for us and took care of us. I guess my mom fell in love with Jason cause a year or so later Aiden was born.

I was thrilled to have another baby brother but my brother, not so much. My brother liked Jason when we were little but after my dad died Adrian just changed. He got held back a year, started not really caring, and when Aiden was born, things got worse. He started to hate Jason. He still doesn't except Aiden as his little brother. He doesn't even watch him or anything. When he was a baby he wouldn't hold him, feed him, nothing.

But me I was the total opposite. Aiden being born was one of the best things that happened. Taking care of him caused me to forget about the and the loss of my dad. When Nova first saw me with Aiden she said, "This is your baby not your moms." I laugh now thinking about it but she was right. Aiden baisically is my baby. I did everything except birth him, stay home with him, and pay all of the bills.

But I was getting up in the middle of the night with him and he slept in my room and I took him everywhere I went. He is my liddle baby. My phone started to ring and it snapped me out of my thoughts. It was Nova. "Hello?" i said. "Where you at. I'm at the car." She said. I kissed my teeth and said, "I'm in the quad waiting for you. Here I come girl." "Aight hurry up girl." She said hanging up the phone. I shook my head and gathered my stuff and walked towards the gate by the gym leading to the parking lot.

I was at the top of the stairs when I heard someone call my name. I turned around to see Kai running to catch up. "So how was your day?" he asked when he finally caught up. "Umm it was good. I have really easy classes so i'm ready to just fly by school." He laughed. "Really? Well I dont... You think you can tutor me?" he asked. I looked at him as if he was crazy. "What class?"

"Pre-Cal?" i shrugged. "Maybe. I dont know if thats a good idea." He turned and had a puppy dog look. "Aww lyssa why not." I looked at him like he was crazy. "Boy bye." I tried walking away fast but he kept up with me. "Come on girl. Why you gotta be like that?" I just kept walking. I got to my car and opened the door. He stood in the way of me shutting the door. I looked back up at him. "What nigga?"

He smirked and said, "Come on why you treating me like this." I rolled my eyes. "Look I dont like you that much. Your my brother friend and I dont want him forcing you on me. I dont like you like that. So back off man and maybe i might i might start likeing you." He smiled and said, "Aiiight."

As if on cue my brother walks over and hits him on the shoulder. "okay lady killer. Watch out i gotta talk to my sister." He moved out the way and my bother took his place. "Where yall headed." he asked me. "Pick up Aiden and then shopping." He nodded. "okay. be safe i'll see you later. " He walked away. I looked over and Nova was in the car already texting someone. I shut the door and started my car. I pulled out and Started out the drive way.

After a long day of shopping and taking care of Aiden, he finally fell asleep. I went in my room and started hanging up my new clothes. I hear my phone make an alert sound. I hopped on my bed and saw that Brad requested me on facebook. I accepted him. As soon as i put my phone down and started walking away it vibrated.

I sighed and walked back. Brad messaged me. "Hey beautiful." I smiled and said, "hey wats up?" I took my phone with me and he replied, "Not much just relaxing. thinking about you" I smiled from ear to ear. "Smh you probably say that to all the girls." almost imediately he respended, "Maybe but your the only one that i actually do think about." I smiled and said, "Mhmm whatever."

"I have a question?" he asked. "Yea wassup?" i said. "What are you doing this weekend? Come to a party with me?" I looked at the text confusingly. "lemme get this straight. I just met you today. You already kissed me and you want me to go to a party with you this weekend? As in a date?" "Yea that sounds about right. So is it a yes or a no?"

I took a breath and said, "Where at?" i could hear the smirk in his voice, "This dude named Payton. Idk if u heard about it cause its finna be turnt up." i laughed. "no you didnt just sayd turnt up. SMH. get your life boy. Maybe." "Awww i cant say turnt up? Whatever. And i dont like the word maybe. Its a yes or no." "Smh well for now its a maybe." "Aiight i see you." I laughed at him and I was replying when there was a loud kick on my door making it fly open. I jumped and saw that it was Adrian. I flipped my phone down and looked at him crazy. "What the fuck Adrian. Why are you busting all up in my room like the damn police?" he laughed and said, "why you jumpin like u hiding something." he looked at my phone and smiled. "nigga who you talkin to?" I rolled my eyes at him. "no one" he narrowed his eyes at me. "Mmm. Ayeee this weekend you wanna come with me to a party?"

"I don't know. Who's?" I asked. "Payton's" I held in my Happiness and said, "okay yea me and Nova will roll." He shook his head. "Aight whatever. But heyyy who you talk in to?" I rolled my eyes. "Nigga why the fuck do you need to know." He shrugged and then turned around as if he was about to leave. I turned down to my phone and unlocked it and as soon as I did Adrian took it and ran to the bathroom and locked it. I banged on the door screaming, "ADRIAN GIVE ME MY GOD DAMN PHONE BACK YOU ADOPTED BABY!!!!!!"

I screamed and said, "okay I'm getting your phone." I stormed into his room and get his phone. I opened it cause he had the same password since for a year so I unlocked it and started reading out. "Paige 7:20. Adrian. Can you come over this weekend. And help me..." before I could read any further Adrian opened the door and looked pissed off. "So now you know how it feels. Give me my phone!" I reached for it butAdrian moved it. I looked at him. "Adrian. Stop playing give me my phone." I reached for it again but he grabbed my wrist. My eyes widened. "Adrian let go of me! Your hurting me!"

"Lyssa who the fuck is Brad?" he said sounding madder than I've ever seen him before. "He's my new friend from school." He rolled his eyes. "Lyssa what did I tell you about those people?" " Adrian. I don't care! They all aren't the same. You don't control me and who I have as friends. Now let me go." his jaw clenched and then he let me go. I started rubbing it hoping that a bruise wouldn't be there. He threw the phone on the floor and walked back to the room in silence slamming the door behind him. I picked up my phone and went back to my room.

I went back to Facebook and saw that he wrote to Brad saying, " bitch ass nigga. Stay the fuck away from my sister or I'll beat the shit out of you." I groaned and said, "Sorry that was my brother. He's a little...... Well stupid. I'm sorry." I waited for a couple of minutes but there was no reply...... I sighed. I guess Adrian got to him. I went to the bathroom and took a shower.

After I got out I went back in my room and got dressed. All of a sudden there Was a knock on my door. I opened it to see my Aiden standing there with his cars pillow pet. "Lyssa I had a nightmare umm can I sleep with you?" I nodded and he ran over and jumped in my bed. I turned the lights off and got in the bed with him and we were quick to both go to sleep.
