Chapter 4: Break Ups

{Shane's POV}

Joey seems really fragile right now. I'm so scared I'm gonna say something wrong, but I need to try to help him.

We were just walking through the door when I got a text.

New Text Message: Lisa

Lisa: Shane. Call me, we need to talk.

Shane: (not in text) I'll be right back, Joey. Lisa wants me to call her.

Joey: Ok, take your time.

I walked out of the room and dialed Lisa's number. She picked up on the first ring.

Lisa: Shane?

Shane: What's up?

Lisa: I know this is sudden... but I think we should see other people.

Shane: What? Why?!

Lisa: We're just drifting apart, I guess.

Shane: But Lisa, I'm sorry I promise I'll fix it.

Lisa: It's too late. I am the one who should be sorry. And I am.

There was a long pause.

Lisa: ..and Shane?

Lis: Stay at a friend's if you can. Get your stuff tomorrow. Goodbye.

She hung up and I fought back tears. I walked back to Joey holding in tears.

Joey: Hey! What'd she want?

Shane: Oh nothing...

Joey: You seem upset. Are you sure it's nothing?

Shane: *sighs* Let's just say you and Sawyer aren't the only ones who lost their girlfriend today.....

Joey: I'm sorry, Shane.

Joey motioned for me to sit on the couch with him.

Joey: What happened?

Shane: I don't know. She said "we're drifting apart".

Joey: Aw that sucks.

Shane: Yea...

Joey: So what now?

Shane: I don't know.. We could get our minds off of everything by..you know..*winks then puts on creepy face*

Joey: *laughs* Oh god, Shane. You're so creepy and weird!

Shane: *laughs* You know I'm joking.

Joey: Yeah, obviously. *chuckles*

Shane: But for real, we could...watch a movie?

Joey: Hungergames?

Shane: Of course. Haha.

{Joey's POV}

Shane, oh Shane. He's so weird it's so funny. I just realized that he makes me laugh so hard, so easily. I put on Hungergames but I fell asleep towards the middle.

~In his dream~

They were IN the Hungergames. Joey, Sawyer, Shane, and Becka. Sawyer kills Becka, and Joey kills Sawyer. Shane and Joey had an alliance. They teamed up.. But not as friends... As boyfriends... Once Joey and Shane were the only ones left Joey put his arms around Shane's neck and Shane put his hands on his waist, while kissing.

~End of Dream~

I woke up to the TV on, and realized we both fell asleep during it and it was continuously playing. I turned it off. Okay, now I REALLY need some help. Why. Am. I. Having. Dreams. About. Shane?!

I hit myself in the face with a pillow. C'mon Joey, you need to tell someone. I mean Shane's right there, still sleeping of course, but this is too creepy. The first dream was us cuddling, the second dream was us kissing and Sawyer and Becka kissing.

Wait a minute. Did I like realize Becka was cheating with my dream? What the fuck? Yeah, I need to tell Shane when he wakes up. I just got up and dressed and went on tumblr. Shane finally woke up.

Joey: You're up! I thought you were gonna sleep all day!

Shane: Haha. *sits up* Oh yeah..*looks down* I have to get my stuff out of the apartment and bring it to my moms...I can't believe Lisa actually broke up with me.. But I guess I'll just have to move on.

Joey: Sorry again, man. Well, if you want, you could live here for a little while with me?

Shane: Wow, that's really sweet of you. Are you sure you're okay with it?

Joey: Yeah, you don't need to move in with your mom at this age.

Shane: Thanks so much. *hugs Joey*

I guess I should tell him now.

Joey: Well Shane, before you agree to stay here, I need to talk to you about something.

Shane: Okay..lemme hear it.

Here it goes.

Joey: Ok.. so one day I had a weird dream.. But I thought it was just a random dream you know?

Shane: Where are you going with this?

Joey: Hold on. Anyways that day me and.. *looks away* Becka *looks back at Shane* and me were watching the Notebook. Then I fell asleep. I dreamt that you were there instead of Becka..

Shane: Oh...

Joey: and then after you kissed me for the Dare the Dawson, I had a dream of the dare but there was no camera, I was kissing you back, and Sawyer and Becka were kissing there too.

Shane: Woah. Really?

Joey: Yeah. I got more freaked out by that. But just now, I had a dream all four of us were *chuckles* in the Hungergames. *laughs* but we had an allegiance.. as boyfriends.. Then for the second time in my dreams we were kissing again.

Shane: Joey.. Of course that doesn't affect my agreeing to your offer. But that is weird.. What do you think it means?

Joey: I don't know....

Shane: ..do you think?.... ah nevermind.

Joey: What? Tell me.

Shane: I was going to say, do you think you're..gay?

Joey: No..?..Yes?..maybe, I'm confused!

Shane: Well thanks for telling me. Don't want any secrets between us, ya know?

Joey: Yeah. Thanks for understanding. I just really want to know what it means.

But I'm keeping a secret. I do know why now. I finally understand.
