'She still didn't tell me her name.' The thought flows through my mind as I'm walking down the hall, tardy slip in hand.

"Wow, I really asked her out." I smile to myself. 'And she practically said yes.' My subconscious fills in.

I walk through the classroom door, and Mr. Croslow seems to glare at me as I softly sit the tardy slip onto his desk.

"Thank you for joining us Mr. Saunter." He says, obviously trying to draw eyes to me as I was trying to silently slip to the back of the room next to Andrew.

"Nice to be here Mr. Croslow." I salute him, making everyone in the classroom start laughing.

"Hey man, where'd you go earlier? You just walked off to talk to some nerdy chick, and then you didn't come back down the hall?" Andrew whispers as I slide into my usual seat next to him.

"She ain't that nerdy man, she's pretty cool. But I was just asking if I could borrow her English notes." I try to smoothely add to the end of defending her, knowing that if I just said that, he would grow suspicious.

"I thought she was in advanced English and Literature and stuff like that?" He says, eyeing me confused. "She's like, the smartest girl in the school."

"Really? Oh, maybe that's why she laughed at me when I asked if I could borrow her English notes then.... haha." I try to act non'chalante, but I know that Andrew can see right through my act.

"C'mon man, what's the real reason ya went and talked to her? You don't need to hide things from me man, I'm not a chick. I don't go off telling every person in the world." He tries to make me feel secure with telling him what happened.

"I'll tell ya next hour man, during our lunch break, anyone here in this classroom could hear us if I told you now." I look around to see that Mr. Croslow and the rest of the class are all staring at Andrew and I, not like this wasn't a usual thing, but still, my cheeks reddened. Luckily I didn't try and tell Andrew now, otherwise everyone would know by the end of the school day!

"Are you two ready to pay attention to my lesson? Or shall I send you to the office?" Mr. Croslow glares at me. Man... why does he have to be such a dick to me all the time?

"What would be the point of that sir? There's only two agonizing minutes of your class left? I don't really find that a constructive use of your oh, so cherishable time, do you?" I glare back at him. I know I just got him to shut up, but the look on his face as he squirms never ceases to humor me. I mean, c'mon, seeing a teacher get red in the face when you're the cause of it? What can be more hilarious!? Especially when he's up in front of the whole class.

Mr. Croslow tells us to start packing up our things anyways since he has no way out of the embarrassment that I just got him into. As I slowly stack and re-stack my books to pass the time I have to wait, the bell finally goes off, and I rush to the front of the room and out the door. Andrew is right behind me. We always race to see who gets to drive and pick where we wanna go out for lunch. Though I got out of the door first, Andrew had me beat when she walked past, slipping her foot out and making me trip on my run towards the front doors.

"Whoops, ya might wanna watch your step next time Mr.Popular." She giggles, bending down to help me pick up my books.

"Um, you- You never told me your name." I smile at her, not the charming smile that I usually give girls that make them all swoon. I mean... a real smile, one that shows I'm trying to be friendly and that I actually want to get to know her... I never use that smile... God... why is this girl so... different?

"Oh, my name? No one hear knows my name. The teachers do, but I asked them all not to call me it in front of the other students. Me being..... unknown persay? Seems to be an advantage to me. But if you want a name to call me... Call me Riku." She flutters her eyelashes at me, making me shiver at the short but inviting action. "Oh, but don't say it in front of other people please? I don't want them tryign to create an image around the name. Because it's not even my real name."

"Wait, Riku is the name of..." I trail off, not wanting her to know that I still like video games like that.

"Riku is the name of Kairi and Sora's friend in Kingdom Hearts? Yeah, I didn't figure you'd know that, but you're a pretty smart boy for being Mr. Popular! She laughs that beautiful laugh of hers and starts to walk off. "Well, I got places to eat, food to eat, and people's space to violate, so I will catch ya later Mr. Popular!" She saunters of making sure that my eyes follow her for a few seconds.

"You still like Kingdom Hearts?" I hear Andrew behind me.

"Shit..." I mutter under my breath.

"No man! I'm totally cool with that! I still like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts and stuff too! It's not like anyone else needs to know that. It can be us three's... 'little secret'?" He pats me on the back.

"Yeah man... thanks.." I respond, not with much emotion though.

"So, you have a crush on that chick...... Why?" Andrew dives in, asking the question I figured he would end up asking.

"I have no clue dude... she is just so.... different? I can't seem to get her out of my head, and I really don't understand why my heart starts pounding so fast when I am near her... I really hope our date Saturday goes well...-" I carry on speaking with Andrew cuts me off.

"Woah, a date? You got HER to go on a date with YOU!?" He asks, obviously shocked.

"Yeah? What's so weird about that?" I say shrugging.

"She doesn't date! She's never dated ANYONE in this school... no matter HOW many countless guys have asked her? She is really pretty, ya know SOME of the nerds and other guys are gonna try and ask you out. Even some of the girls have tried asking her out. She's always said no." Andrew says incredulously.

"Girls? There is no way that Riku would date another girl, she is WAY too pretty for that......" I say, obvioulsy confused at why a girl would ask her such a thing.

"Riku? Is that her name?" Andrew asks, seeming surprised.

"No, that is just the name that she said I could call her. But don't call her that in public, it's part of us three's 'little secret' ya got it?" I look at him, demanding his obedience with my eyes.

"Okay, okay. Geez man, you look like you're gonna shoot flames out of your eyes if you stare at me any harder!" He laughs.

"Okay.... just don't mess this up for me Andrew, I mean it. This is really important for some reason..."

"I don't see why you have such little faith in me Draik, c'mon, lets go get some pizza, because we both know that I would have won since you had your little "chat" with Riku."
