Chapter 1 -Where it all Begins-

- Ali's POV -

As I watch tv my sister bursts in scaring the crap out of me.

"C'mon were going to the beach!" She saids as as she walks out. She loves the beach and we always go to the end of the beach, there pretty much no people there so we can go into the ocean and swim. I get into my zebra print bikini and put my hair in a messy bun, i put a plain blue shirt and shorts on over my bathing suit. I put my sunglasses on and walk out my sister was waiting at the end of the stairs.

"Ready?" Blair saids, I nodded, we walked out and walked onto the sidewalk, we only live 5 minutes away from the beach so we walk.

"Maybe we will, find mom and dad" Blair said as she smiles, my sister been on the search ever since they disappeared. I nodded. But I know she won't find them. As we got there we went to the end of the beach where it was quiet. I throw my sunglasses on the ground and I went to the water.

"I am going for a swim!" I say as I turn to my sister who was putting a towel on the sand to lay on. She nods and I turn back to the water. I ran in and as a wave picked up I dived in. My legs glistened and it turned into my light blue tail matching the ocean with the black tips on the end of the tail. I went underwater and saw the fish past me. I smiled and I swam looking around the beautiful ocean. I went into the deep part because I always see beautiful shells down there. As I saw nothing. I gave a disappointing look. As I swam my sister appeared in front of me, once again scaring the crap out of me. She waved and started swimming. I rolled my eyes and started swimming up to the surface. I got closer to the shore and made sure I was touching the sand. I dragged my self to where my towel was and dried my self off. My legs appeared. I sighed and laid on the sand not caring that I was going to get sand all over my back and I smiled as I saw the blue sky's above me, I got up and put sun screen on, I hate when I get sunburn, as I was done I laid down once again and drifted off to sleep. I woke up with Blair nudging me,

"Ugh what?" I say as I rub my eyes.

"Lets go you've been sleeping all day" she saids, I looked around and the sun was just setting. I nodded and got up, she chuckled behind me making me confused.

"You got sand all over your back" she saids, I let out a deep sigh and took my clothes off leaving me in my bathing suit. "Hey lets go to the club" I nodded, I really didn't care where we go I am fine with either one. As we walked I got out my water bottle that was in my bag, Blair's eyes widen at the sight "Put that away you make it spill turn into a mermaid in front of the people" She saids in a hushed tone.

"I'll be careful" I say as I open the bottle, she watched me closely scaring me that I will actually spill it on me. I got the tip of the bottle and put the water in my mouth making sure no water dripped down my chin. But it went into my mouth not getting a single drop on me. Good. My sister let out a huge breath like she was holding it in. We went quickly to our house and I dressed into a pink ruffled top and denim shorts, I put on my pink sandals and put black eyeliner and mascara with some foundation. My sister was ready before me like always and we walked out. Walking there

We finally got to the club and walked in seeing tons of people.

"Love the club!" My sister said excited. My sister always wanted to find a love here. But no we gotta marry a stupid merman. I sighed at that thought, before my mom left she showed me to a merman named Eric, and he didn't even want me, he treated me awful. So I broke up with him. My sister was the same thing they were brothers. His name was Jacob and he was awful to. But she broke up with him. mortals are so nice and kind and they treat you right, well the ones I know. One of my friends I had a crush on, his name was Derek. But I can't because he is off to college and he is not a merman"I sighed

"Hey you ok?" My sister saids. I nodded quickly. She hugs me, her power was she could tell someone lying even how good they are at lying,

"I wish I had a boyfriend" I say "and one that's... Special to me... Normal" I say, I wanted to tear up but I didn't, I held it in.

"I know but we can't break the family tree, and besides there plenty FISH in the sea" she saids as she chuckled at the fish part, because well were half fish. I nodded. I opened up the lid to my bottle as we walked around the club, all the sudden someone bumped into me making the water fly back to me. It hit my face and I gasped

"I am sor-" the person said I but ignored

I ran fast and pushed all the people out of the way I ran I into the bathroom and locked it quick and fell to the floor making me see my tail, I let out a frustrated sigh and I heard a knock my eyes widened

"Hey it's Blair" Blair saids I let out a relief sigh.

"Yea, when your um... Done I wanna show you to someone" She saids

"Ok" I say. I tried to look for someone to dry off and I saw paper towels. I reached as far as I can and finally got it i grabbed a lot since one paper towel is not Going to get it dry. I wiped all the paper towels trying to wake the water to absorb all the water. As my legs appeared I got up. I unlocked the door and saw 5 boys. My eyes widen not expecting them to be standing there. Blair appeared next to me putting her hand on my shoulder

"Hey I am sorry I bumped into you spilling water on you... I didn't mean-" I cut him off

"It's fine" I say he nodded. Man he was hot, his hair was styled up in a little quiff and he had brown hair, he had his eyes that was chocolate brown

"Yeah, mate you blind" A guy next to him, they seem to have British accent. Hmm

"Shut up Louis" The one who spilled water on me,

"Ugh where's my manners, my name is Liam, or do you now that? I don't know... But this is Louis, Zayn, Harry, and Niall"

"Don't you know them?! One Direction! The band I fucking love!" She saids in my ear making my ear hurt

"Stop screaming" I say. Louis I am guessing the one that was next to Liam chuckled

"Shut up pretty boy" I say. He stilled chuckled

"So I am pretty to you now?" He saids as he moves his eyebrows up and down and I rolled my eyes.

"Hey, lets get away from the bathroom and sit down" the curly one said, wait Harry? Yes it is. The one with the curls his Harry, got it. I nodded and we walked over to this table, I sat down and Blair was on the end and I was next to her, and I was next to Liam

"Thanks for letting us sitting with you guys" she saids with a wide smile on her face. I rolled my eyes. It was awkward silence for long time in till I couldn't stand it

"So why you British people doing here in California?" I say

"Irish" the Blonde one said, Guessing Niall since he is the only blond hair and irish

"Oh sorry British/Irish band" I say

"Oh well we have break and so we wanted to visit California so we got a house down here and enjoying it" The quiff one said, Zayn. I nodded.

"Oh by the way, my name is Ali, and this is my sister Blair" I say they nodded

"Ali can I talk to you for a second" Blair saids.

"Why?" I say, she lost her patients and grabbed my arm. She pulled me away from the table and took me outside

"Faint" she saids. What? Faint?

"What are you talking about?" I say

"I want you to faint, so they take you to their home and I hang with Louis" she saids with a smirk. I rolled my eyes and was about to walk to the door, but just my luck the heavy door opened making me fall to the ground, before the dark came I saw my sister. Damn how lucky she was,

Then I blacked out
