Chapter Two
I flicker my eyes to the left. I see a kitchen.
A kitchen! And kitchens typically have knives, right?
So all in a split second, I make a run for the oddly semi-familiar kitchen. At once I know where to find the knives. The big, butcher knives as I like to call them. On the sterile white counter, hidden behind the fridge from my view in my hiding place. They were in the corner between the refrigerator, and the ending of the counter top. All of the big knives together in one big tin. As I'm pulling out the biggest two I can find, the strange woman is staring at me like I just killed someone.
"Samantha, what is the matter with you?"
"I know who you are!" I said, partially terrified, but hid it with a hostile tone. "I know what you are."
"Yeah, I'm your mother." She said annoyed. "Seriously, Samantha, this isn't funny."
"Stop it!" I scream. "Stop trying to get into my mind!" I cover my ears. "It won't work!"
She's already in your mind, Samantha. Remember, if you can kill them all in this dream, they can't kill you in it. And if they die in this shared dream, they never wake up. They die painfully in their sleep. They won't be able to get to you in the real world if you kill them now.
---
Well, I know this sounds a little crazy right now. But this is the best I can do to explain everything at this point in time... She's not just paranoid. There's a whole lot more going on than you think. It's kind of like Freddy Crougar if you haven't figured that out yet. Just keep listening...
---
I hear footsteps!
There's someone else coming.... Just keep your stance.
I'm breathing hard and shaky out my nose and I can literally see my heart pounding through my chest. It's about as loud as it is visible. The next thing I know, I see a man walk up behind my impersonator mother. "Oh, and I suppose this is supposed to be my father?!" I yell a little sarcastically.
"Um..No..That's 'supposed' to be your brother, Freddy" she said really slowly so I could understand.
I'm dumbfounded once again. Nothing makes any sense. Not that it ever did.... Not since this bullshit started...
Still, unable to believe how stupid those things thought I was. I lunged at my phony mom, aiming straight for the heart. Next thing I know, I'm pinned to the floor by the both of them, knives knocked accross the room. Phony brother holding my shoulders, phony mother on top of me with her hands around my neck...
That's when I wake up, lying down on a cold, hard floor. Eyes wide.
I'm not dead...?
I look around, trying to place my location. I'm completely disoriented. I have no idea where I am. A cabin of some sort. An older looking log cabin.
Do. Not. Panic.
And, of course, this is when I have a panic attack. Suddenly, I feel my chest tightening.
I can't breath!
It feels as if my lungs have collapsed!!
I'm wheezing, and gasping for air now. This has never happened to me before.
What do I do?!
I seemed to ask my inner self for an answer. That's when my natural instincts kick in... I sit up, taking really deep breaths. I start to calm down.
Thank god!!
I only calm down for a few seconds before something catches my attention. Out of the corner of my eye, I see something move. I turn to see a strangely familiar man looking down on me...
