Today was the day the rest of my life began. My first day of high school. So many things could go wrong, but I guess they could go right to, couldn't they? My mom worked at the school, she was my counselor, meaning she picked all my classes. Not the foot I was hoping to start on.
High school would be a time for me to fully prove my independence, and I was hoping to spend more time away from home, studying in the library and such. I'd even joined book club. And I had my friends Kate and Jenny to hang out with after school. As much as we had tried to sync our schedules, I ended up having no classes with either of them. Though we would still carpool to school together.
On the first day, we were all packed in my mom's SUV nervously discussing our teachers and classes. Internally though, I was stressing out about having all of my classes alone. I mean, sure I'd be able to focus, but I wouldn't know anyone at all, what if the teacher had us get into partners? There was only one other person in the school I knew, besides all the people I'd been with since kindergarten who wouldn't talk to me. Josh, my best friend who I only saw during camp in the summers. We almost never talked the rest of the school year though. I was hoping that would change.
I was only able to locate and open my locker about a minute before the bell rang for first hour. Running in with only a few seconds to spare, I dropped my backpack to discover that I wasn't the last one, a few "cool guys" strolled in when they felt like it. I sighed knowing this was the first of many times they'd be yelled at this year.
Suddenly, I felt a pen lightly poke me in the back.
"Hello, Clara" Josh said with a smile.

AHHH! I wrote this like six ish maybe months ago? Before school started and holy crqp it's so embarrassing, can you guess what I was nervous about? *scared laughter* I had to bring some back because of school, yep that worked out well.
I think I'm gonna start another book on here soon, an actual one with a plot and consistent characters ;) Pleasie comment on what you want to see in it!! It may be multiple books long but I'm not sure yet, so give me all of your opinions!!
