•Chapter 1• Normal Day Until...
~Emmalee POV~
I sat in the car, leaning back and forth. I was excited because my BFF, Jade, was staying at my house. We were going to have SO much fun. I bit my lip, waiting for our car to arrive in the driveway. For what seemed for liked forever, we got home. "So... What do you want to do?" I asked Jade.
"I wanted to go for a walk..." Jade said, sounding disappointed.
"I know, me too. But it's 10:30. How about we go on a walk tomorrow? It'll be just as fun!" I said enthusiastically. "Well, I guess so." Jade said, her frown turning to a slight grin.
"What are we waiting for? Lets sleep so we can go walking!" I said impatiently.
"Ok night."
"Night." :)
**The Next Morning*
I woke up at about 9:00, and I see that Jade has too. She goes into the bathroom while I stay in my room, and we put our clothes on as fast as possible. "I'm ready!" Jade exclaims.
"Same here. Dad! Me and Jade are going on a little walk!"
"Ok do you got your phone?"
"Yeah. See you later. "
"Bye Emma bye Jade. "
"Later Steve. " Jade says to my father. So Jade and I walked down the block by the old house that used to be for sale, but now the sign says sold. I wonder who bought it. I see a couple of men talking right outside the house, on the sidewalk. I swear the back of this man's head looked familiar, but I couldn't tell who it was. So being me, I went off into space trying to think of who it could be. I wasn't paying any attention to where I was going. Then I bumped into the man. I was really embarrassed.
"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! I'm SO sorry! Are you okay?" The man turned around. I stopped breathing for a second.
"You're.... You're... Anthony
Padilla..." I manage to mutter before falling to the ground.
