Okay so basically I named the book after the song "We don't talk anymore" by Charlie south feat. Selena Gomez. I don't listen to a lot of pop music but this kind of touched my heart and brought back memories (story for another time lol) and I had a crappy title before this so I owe it to the song for a better option. There's a video link thingy, listen to it if you can/ want to, I loved it.

Ooh, and this isn't based on real life events, well, not fully anyway. 99.9% is fiction and 0.1% is based on something I went through.

Right, I'll actually start writing now :)

"Everly, do you want to take that from the top? Olly messed up the intro" Jackson said, glaring at poor Oliver.

"Yeah, it's chill. Don't worry about it Olly" I said with a smile as we took the song from the top, my hands running on the strings of my guitar till we finished practicing the song 4 times.

"Let's call it a night Lee, Jackson, Mary and I are going out for drinks, do you want to join us?" Oliver asked me as we were packing up the studio because Jackson was hogging the toilet.

Mary was our bass guitarist who wasn't here today for some reason, Jackson did the drums and cello, Oliver took the piano mostly but also did woodwind on a jazz night at the pub and I did the main guitar and singing, but I could also play some piano.

"Thanks but I have to get home, still got to study for that test we have after summer, I'll pass tonight. Have fun you all" I said, exhausted and not in any mood to get drunk on a Saturday night.

"Everly! There's still 3 months left for that test!" Jackson yelled from the toilet, which was a usual occurrence in our rehearsals.

"Well I need to work extra extra hard because I don't have a photographic memory like yours!" I yelled back so he could hear me and Oliver just stood there with a small grin.

"Fair enough, we won't force you. Goodnight" Oliver said, grabbing his keys off the coffee table and heading out of the door after giving me a light hug.

"I swear, every bone in your body belongs to an eighty year old lady, they're probably even more fun than you" Jackson joked whilst giving me a bear hug.

"Jackson? I can't breathe" I said, being crushed to his chest wasn't the most comfortable position one could be in.

"Good, that was the point. Later, alligator" he said, letting go and walking away before throwing me a wave.

"In a while, crocodile" I whispered back, knowing he wouldn't hear me anyway.

I was making myself some stir fry for dinner when my phone started ringing on the counter. Turning the gas off, I brushed my hands on my apron and picked up the call without looking at the ID .

"Hello?"

"Don't tell me you've deleted my number already! It's only been 5 weeks since we last spoke!" A very familiar voice that was really close to my heart yelled through the phone.

"Care! Oh no, I wouldn't dream of deleting your number, you'd chop me into little pieces and feed me to your dogs" I said, a smile stretching onto my face.

"Ah you know me so well. The dogs are great by the way, Bruno had a bowel problem and we had to take him to the vet and the poor thing was in so much pain I couldn't bear to watch. But they groomed him and-" she started ranting but was cut off by a more deep, masculine voice.

"Do you actually want to tell her why you called?" The other familiar voice said through the phone and I could imagine him rolling his eyes at my cousin.

"Ooh, yeah! I forgot about that, don't know how but I did. Well, my cutie pie cousin, Stefan and I have decided that we want to spend the rest of our lives together and you're invited to our wedding which will be taking place on the 20th of August in Fiji, surrounded by beaches" she ended and I couldn't contain my squeal after that.

"Caroline! That is the best news I have heard in so long! It's going to be great" I spoke into the phone, a permanent grin plastered on my face.

"We're going to be staying at this lovely beach house and getting married on the beach. The house has 20 rooms, and it's a small wedding so everyone should fit. Everyone has to arrive a month early though, so we have two months to spend with everyone before we get married and fly off to Greece where we're planning to spend the rest of the year so make sure you have leave from Uni" she rambled on and all I could think about was lounging in the sun for two whole months away from the 'oh- so- lovely' weather of England.

"Yeah, I'm off then. It sounds great, I love the idea of you getting married on an island, but I love the idea of me being under the sun at the beach for two months more" I laughed and Caroline joined in.

"Oh, you're going to be the maid of honour by the way, I mean we've known that we'll be each other's bridesmaids but still confirming that it's going to be you" she said and I nodded, then realised she wasn't here in the room with me.

"Yeah, I kind of guessed. Can I talk to Stefan?" I asked, pushing my glasses up my nose.

"Hey Rockstar!" Stefan's voice boomed through the phone, so loud that I had to pull the phone away from my ear.

"I'm not 12 anymore Stefan, you've got to stop calling me that" I murmured but a small smile played on my lips.

Stefan and Caroline had known each other for 20 years now. They met when Caroline was 8 (I was 5 then, just saying) and stayed best friends till they decided they wanted to go to Universities in different countries and lost touch for 3 years, and after those three years the coincidentally met at a bar In Vegas and from then on they've been joined to the hip again.

"Whatever you say, rockstar. Oh hey, have you spoken to Theo recently? He just won a deal worth millions and millions of dollars" he said, proudness lacing his voice whereas my heart had just stopped for a second after hearing his name after so long.

It took me a minute to regain myself, and with a shaky breath I replied- "No, we don't talk anymore" and ended the conversation with quick goodbyes to the engaged couple.

It took me 10 minutes to take in the fact the he was doing so well with his life and was happy whilst I was working my ass off and still cried myself to sleep on the nights where I couldn't forget what we had.

Looks like he moved on easily, so I should too.
