It's weird to not wake up and walk the bland halls. Some how I felt safer in that prison. Now I sit in a bed watching Eli and Bayla play cards all day.Klarissa can now use her wheels chair around. Cole just got that privilege and struggles with controlling the chair. He remembers it as we do. The running the fighting, the laughing, we where alone but we where together, and we had Greyson. I imagine the keeper, the reapers, and four months with Grey as a gift. The pain is here in us all.
The crazy doctor thinks we're all bat shit. Five stories matching perfectly. The crash put us in commas how could the stories possibly fit.
I should have graduated a week ago. I should be on a plane to Maine for college with Cole and Klarissa in two months. Grey should be getting my car. Cole's father flew in from Greece when he woke up. Three years of dating and I never meet the man. We should be on vacation for Grey's birthday we always leave June fifteenth.
"Are you awake?" Klarissa asked rolling in.
"Yeah." I said looking away from my yearbook.
"How bad are they?" She asked pulling herself onto my bed.
"We look terrible as usual. But look." I said flipping to the final page. "They dedicated it to us and Greyson." I said crying again, it's now and everyday thing.
"That's from the night of the crash." She said touching the picture.
"How do you know?"
"The shirt that Grey's wearing. He put a God did on just before we called them in. Also you have on Cole's flannel I remember the blood all over you. Is this real? I mean it just doesn't feel possible. That he's gone." She sniffled.
"It's real." Bayla said coming in Eli following.
"I wish it wasn't." Klarissa sighed.
"You know they hoped we'd all remember who caused the crash. I just remember hitting the brakes and hearing glass shattering." Eli said sitting at our feet. "We all wish it was still a comma dream."
"I just wish Grey made it. I wanted out of there, so bad. I wanted it too badly. I remember Grey getting hurt, my nightmares, and then Klarissa."
"Then you got stabbed, we got into an accident and now here we are." Bayla faked a laugh.
"That's it though isn't it." Klarissa said leaning back.
"Did we even win that damn basket ball game?" Eli asked.
"Yeah. This says it was the best game the school saw in four years." I said handing him the yearbook.
"And they just thought we wanted more attention." He said shutting it.
"It was a gesture."
"It should at least say something about the others or something positive about Greyson's life." He said sitting it down.
"I just wish we could remember the actual night. The night he really died that put us all here."
"Don't we all?" Cole said as Clara pushed him in. "I just wish it was that easy."
