I woke to the sound of people talking in light whispers. I rolled over to see Cole cooking a small breakfast and Bayla sitting at the table reading.

"Good morning." I sat up and ruffled my hair. "I hope the next room has a shower." I said feeling my greasy hair as I pull it into a bun.

"We have decided to make rounds today and look for anyone new and I agree a shower sounds nice. Your clothes are sitting on the sink." Cole smiled his warm dimply smile.

"Any notes?" I asked jingling the key chain around my neck.

"Yeah something about practice." he said picking it up off the table."

The note: I feel that you lack strength and you all move to slow for this game to thrill me win tonight and your award will help you to excel.

"That's weird but I'm putting this away and changing I'll be back." I said moving to the bathroom for my clothes.

"Be careful. Cole said handing me a butter knife. "that should at least help a bit." he chuckled ruffling his already messy hair.

I changed quickly and locked away the note. When I returned we each grabbed a water and butter knife (I think a fork would be better but whatever) and split up checking each door and corner for rewards or new teammates. We meet back up by the lounge when the clock read 2:28.

"Anything?" I asked leaning against the wall.

"Nothing." Bayla sighed sliding down a locker to sit on the floor.

"Wait." I sprung from the wall.

"What?" they both jumped up slightly.

"The lockers don't have locks!" I said turning to the closest locker. I the latch and lifted and opened. I did a small dance and opened it.

Inside the normal for a high school locker. Books, a bag, a jacket , and random papers the others scrambled to the closest locker to rip it of it's contents.

A few hours later the hall was littered all the lockers empty now we have sorted the books and taken them to Cole's room, the jackets are put in to lockers organized by gender and size, and the bags are now being dumped to the floor. a few books are now stacked in piles and random things like hair ties and bottles of perfume/cologne sat in a mound things we are not sure about where shoved into empty lockers. We split the piles and carried them to Cole's room for now.

"It's time." Cole said sitting books on the shelves. I looked out the window.

"Let's go." I sighed moving to the hall. "Let's stick together, team work yay." I say walking the halls like I had all day.

"Keep your hard up and go for the eyes if you have the chance." Cole said pulling his knife from his pocket. I follow him silently checking behind myself every few feet.

"Hush." Cole said stopping to hear doors slam behind us two!

"Really two now." I sigh charging a reaper. It's hallow eyes, long branch like arms, five foot legs, and wide shoulders make me cower as I near it. I hear quick steps behind me I watch as Bayla hurtles threw the air and kicks the second reaper down. I follow this movement threw the air but grab the reapers shoulder plunging my knife into it's left hollow eye. It turns to dust in my hands.

"Eww." I groan the powder on my jeans is cold. The two doors they had come from slammed shut a bang rang from another door opening. "Let's go find it." I said standing straight to walk down the hall. I looked both ways in the intersection to se the two large gym doors hanging open.

"This is why we didn't get anyone new our reward was larger." I said dashing towards the doors to find a note in the doorway.

The note: As you wish. You can shower now. Clean clothes and towels are in the locker rooms. Good job fair game and now you can grow stronger for the game.

"Hey guys there's a note." I said waving it in the air. They both read it quickly. "I say we have one person shower at a time and the others keep watch for reapers."

"Good idea let's put the note away and go." Cole said and we nodded in response.

Once we where clean we settled in for a late dinner and decided to take sleeping shifts now that the enemy had become enemies. Cole took first shift as we slept.
