Lydia repeatedly tapped her pencil on her desk, as she quickly revised her paperwork before handing it in. She then, rushed her way out to meet Allison, who was waiting for her at the school's main entrance.
"And she's finally here!" she said announcingly.
"It wasn't THAT long." Lydia responded, quite annoyed.
As they were about to step out of the school, they suddenly heard loud thumping. It was the sound of extremely heavy raindrops pounding onto the ground. There was absolutely no way Lydia was diving into that downpour!
Everyone in the building was shoving themselves out and running as fast as they could so they could make it in time before it would get out of hand.
The cacophony started giving Lydia a major migraine so she sat down for a bit. Allison was pretty quiet since she was reading her favorite book for the thousandth time, Finding Alaska, but Lydia on the other hand, started getting better, somewhat after a few minutes. Luckily, her headache had worn off since the school had been almost completely evacuated in the last fifteen minutes or so, and the noise had gone down a little, but the drops just kept on hitting harder and harder onto the pavement making Lydia curious.
"Is it going to rain forever?" she impatiently asked herself.
At that very moment, she heard footsteps. She had excellent hearing and could even tell who someone was just by paying close attention to the way they walk.
"Wasn't the test supposed to be finished by now?" she thought to herself.
A few moments after her pondering, she watched this tall, handsome guy pass by. Sadly, she wasn't as subtle as she thought she was. Once he had turned around, it was only a matter of time before he caught her.
"Can I help you?" he asked, with confusion in his voice.
Before Lydia could think of anything to say back, Allison immediately closed her book and said:
"Um, actually yes, we were wondering if you could give us a ride home?"
"Allison!" Lydia exclamed, pretty surprised with what she had just said.
"I'm really sorry about her she's really straightforward...and also, for the bothering you, and watching...with the eyes...and they're so brown, you have really nice ey-"
"Thanks!...I think?" he answered, waking her up from her daydream.
"And uh, it's totally fine with me for the ride!" said brown-eyes.
"Where to?".The girls got dropped off at Allison's place because Lydia was planning on studying there tonight. Once they got in, Lydia was agitated and wouldn't stop walking in circles.
"Woah there! said Allison, why don't you have a seat. Would you like a glass of water?"
Lydia tried gathering her breath and finally, she shook her head. She wasn't thirsty at all, she was freaked out by what had just happened. Who was that guy? Why was the car ride so awkward and silent? Why was she freaking out this much? She had too many questions.
"Are your parents coming home soon?" asked Lydia.
"They'll be home later, it's Friday." affirmed Allison.
"Could I stay the night?" Lydia asked, her voice was a little shaky from what she had just gone through.
"Of course you can Lyds. Stay whenever you want/need to!" said Allison, happily.
Allison asked her about the car ride (and their driver too, of course) and how Lydia felt about it. She clearly didn't know what to respond at all since it was unclear to her too. The only thing she was sure of, was that he was hot.

After eating take-out and watching Netflix, Lydia got bored. She was trying to think of something they could do but, she got nothing.
"What are you thinking of?" wondered Allison.
"I'm bored. I need to do something fun. Something exciting." sighed Lydia after plopping herself on to Alli's bed. They both started thinking real hard. All of a sudden, she bounced right back up.
"A PARTY!"
"A party? Allison was slightly confused. Right now?"
"Tomorrow! My mom's not home all weekend. she smirked. It'll be great!"
Allison saw how happy her best friend was with the idea so she decided she should help her with the planning, the invitations and also pitch in because why not. They spent their whole evening making a list of people they were going to invite and of things they needed.
"Can Scott come? He should bring all of his Lacrosse friends with him. Lacrosse boys are hot." said Lydia licking her red lips.
"Scott would never miss a party, I'll call him and see what I can do", she winked.
After many phonecalls their list went up to 500+ people and they weren't even done yet. Although everything was all planned, something seemed to be missing. Lydia wasn't satisfied yet. She gave up not long after though. Her eyes got heavier and her hand hurt from writing hundreds of names all evening. They both were mad tired so they got changed into their pj's and went to sleep.
