_UNEDITED_

"Mands, stop hiding yourself!" Felicia Hollyns nudged as they walk down New York Grand High School's halls.

"It's fine, nobody wants to see me beside you." Mandie Hazel Rory articulated, covering her face with books that all you can see are her eyes, that were sticking to the floor.

"So? Just becuase I'm popular and you're," she paused for a momment to think of a word to describe her best friend,"Unpopular, doesn't mean, I can't hang out with you." Felicia coos, entangling arms with her bestie and led her to their lockers which were forcefully beside eachother, thanks to the father of Felicia.

"Hola Felicia!" Oh no. Mandie thought as one of Felicia's popular friends, Gaylene Adebay, rush towards the two, but comes to a complete halt infront of them when she saw Mandie.

"Uh, Hi Mandie." She sneered, seperating the two and dragging Felicia somewhere else before Feli could say something.

Mandie sighed and opened the silver locker, at the same time pondering about whether or not look for more friends, other than Felicia.

Sadie Dune.

Sadie has always been Mandie's back up plan whenever Feli doesn't come around.

"She left you hanging again, didn't she." Sadie spoke as if on cue.

"No, Gaylene just dragged her away." Mandie sighed, closing her locker, she leans against it, once again pondering ways to not look idiotic after Mandie makes her exit.

"Why won't you split up already?" Sadie asked which snapped Mandie out of her thoughts.

"I can't do that, Sadie, we still have a promise to be BFFs until we get married and get old." Mandie stated recalling the time when they were in Freshmen year.

"So? You can always break that promise." Sadie suggested as they walked down the emptying halls.

Mandie shook her head,"I can't do that. I just can't Sadie, See you later!" Mandie called as she paces faster down the hall and into her homeroom.

She has all her subjects with Feli, which is a good thing.

As she walks in, the seats in the right third row were filled with Gaylene and Feli were sitting.

Gaylene was sitting in her chair.

Being the un-confident little girl she is sat behind them.

Gaylene talked animatedly, as if trying to distract Feli to not look behind her but did anyway, when she saw Mandie there, sitting and scribbling down her anger she felt towards Gaylene, she immediately, almost pushes, Gayelene out of the way.

"Rude much!" Gayl snapped as Feli roughly grabbed Mandie's arm and practically slammed down the poor girl in her seat.

"Sorry this seat is taken." Feli remarks bitterly, which made Gayl gasp and walk away to another seat.

As Feli settles in, Mands still felt weird, she started scribbling down the 'Scribble Notebook' again.

Yes she bought a notebook for random scribbling.

know you'd do that too.

"Mandie? Are you okay?" Feli asked, holding Mandie's shoulder lightly.

"No." Mandie answered with a sigh. Then continued scribbling down her notebook.

"Why?" Feli asked.

"Because," Mandie paused, debating whether or not to answer, "I feel left out." she said before scribbling down again, Feli is now facing her with curiousty evident in her eyes.

"Don't be, Gayl is SO annoying, she is so.. I don't know, as i f we've known eachother forever." And with that sentence Feli continued babbling about how annoying Gayl is but Mandie wasn't really listening.

I'm rich, friends with popular, talented, and pretty (at least according to Feli) but why aren't I popular? Mandie asked herself. She shook her head and pushed that thought away and continued scribbling and sketchiing.

"Good morning class," The french teacher greeted in her thick french accent.
